"I'm telling you, this isn't a good idea with Nori in there." J warned as she and Shockwave stood at the entrance of Khan's private meeting room. This was where Khan held meetings for certain subjects.
They all involve doors. What a shock. |:(
"I can assure you, J. You do not need to worry over a small rivalry she and I have. It is nothing worth fretting over." Shockwave assured her as he placed his servo over the door's control system.
"Now, then. Shall we proceed?"
J let out an annoyed sigh, rolling her eyes before turning back to Shockwave.
"Fine. But if you and Nori start arguing over Uzi, don't expect any help from me."
Shockwave nodded before activating the system, opening the door and revealing Khan and Nori at the table. Khan looks to them and greets them.
"Ah, you've made it." Khan greeted, waving at the two. Nori wasn't so thrilled about J's arrival as Khan was.
"Hello, murder pet-"
Nori froze when she saw Shockwave standing behind J before she gave him a deadly glare.
"What is HE doing here?! Who invited the sociopathic cyclops into this?!" Nori snarled with obvious venom. Venom that is clearly directed at Shockwave.
J gave a facepalm with a sigh. She knew this would happen.
"Listen, Shockwave invited himself. Says he could be helpful with your situation involving the doors." J explained, attempting to disarm the situation the best she could before Nori makes things worse.
"If he wants to be helpful, then have him do us all a favour and send him to go f-"
"Now, now, Nori. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to have a fresh perspective on the matter. Besides, I've seen him work. I think he skills is what we need right now." Khan calmly (and nervously) told his wife, hoping that he could calm her before things got ugly for all of them.
Nori turns towards Khan with a scowl before she let out a frustrated groan.
"Bite me. Fine! He can stay. For now."
Both J and Khan sighed in relief, having prevented a disaster from happening. Khan pulled out the blueprints to his doors and the area of Outpost-3 (where the colony resided) they were built and the outpost itself, spreading the blue sheet of paper across the table.
"Ok, first things first. Here's what we already know of the doors. There are three in total; Door 1, the first line of defence and the only way in and out of the colony. Door 2, the second line of defence in case Door 1 fails. And lastly, Door 3, the last line of defence and more of a 'better safe than sorry' kind of scenario. All three built with a strong and sturdy integrity. Nothing can get past them." Khan explained, having a bit of pride at the end of that sentence.
"Nothing known to human or drone. There are alien species out there can have the tech to blast through those doors like cutting butter with a hot knife. Humans may have come a long way from their beginning to their extinction, but they're still primitive compared to Shockwave's kind." J explained to him, as Shockwave looked over the papers.
"Oh, so you think the doors aren't good enough? I was the one who told Khan to build those doors against you and the rest of those things. I think- no, not think -I KNOW the doors can hold their own against a few aliens. Because of me, Khan and I were able to save a few drones with doors that are completely indestru-"
"Ventilation."
J, Khan and Nori turned their heads to Shockwave, confusion donned on their faces.
"Come again?" Khan asked with a raised brow.
