[25]ARRANGED FIANCE - NOV 4 2024

Jimin is the arranged fiance of Jungkook. Jungkook is very reserved and cold by nature , quick to get angry while Jimin is a bit childish and bubbly.

When Jungkook first met Jimin, he couldn't for the life of him understand why his parents loved Jimin so much. Jungkook really felt Jimin and he were polar opposites and weren't meant for each other but there wasn't much he could do, his parents wanted this marriage.

They go on getting to know each other dates and yes, Jungkook can't deny that Jimin is extremely cute and gorgeous and that the boy was smart and fun to talk to but still there were instances where he felt Jimin was a bit immature for his age.

It was on one of their dates that Jimin meets Jungkook's 5 year old nephew in his apartment. Jungkook had an important call to make so he excuses himself while the other two interacted. Jungkook rolls his eyes when while he was waiting for the other person to reply to his enquiry, he sees how Jimin was verbally arguing with the 5 year old, playfully serious.

A few minutes later, Jungkook hears a loud cry and he rushes out of his room into the living room to see his nephew crying on the floor while Jimin was shaking his shoulders, aggressively from Jungkook's perspective, broken vase next to them

The boy couldn't stop crying, he was so terrified and all Jungkook could think was Jimin hurt his nephew

Jungkook grabs Jimin and drags him a bit away from the boy

"How can you be so careless Jimin!? Why are you so childish?! Why can't you act your age?! For God's sake you are 22!"

"Kook...I..." Jimin's voice was low, reflecting his hurt

"Just get out! I will call you later!" Jungkook says before turning back to go back to his crying nephew

Jimin leaves

"It's okay... its okay baby...Koo-uncle is here..." Jungkook says hugging the tiny boy "...are you hurt anywhere?"

The boy shakes his head before looking around

"W-Where is Mini-uncle? He got hurt because of m-me..." he again starts crying

"What?"

A moment later the boy tells Jungkook how the two were playing and running around and the boy accidently hit the cupboard on top of which the vase was present, Jimin who was initially running slowly immediately ran fast to grab the boy away from the cupboard but the vase fell on Jimin's shoulders and broke

The scene made the boy so scared as he saw Jimin's shirt bleeding and he cried in fear

Jungkook felt guilty

Jungkook makes the boy sleep and then calls Jimin to apologize.

"I forgive you Kook...but next time.. please...listen to me first... misunderstandings can happen, I understand that....but it hurt me that you believed I was childish enough to hurt a child..you didn't trust me Jungkook and that hurt more than you scolding me...I guess we haven't understood each other yet... maybe we should break our engagement ..."

Jungkook froze at those words. His heart ached. He never thought those simple words which he was sure he wanted to hear would affect him so much

Thats when he realizes that he had actually fallen for his tiny fiance, at least enough to want the boy in his life forever.

Jungkook regretted a lot that night as he lay in his bed. Jimin has always handled any circumstance with maturity and elegance, always comforting him when things made him angry or upset.

I'm sorry Jimin... I'm so sorry and I promise to never make you doubt our relationship again

Jimin didn't want to meet him that evening so he had send the boy care packages, comfort food and flowers

Jimin was touched by the gesture but Jungkook had to work harder

From the next day, Jungkook is the one to call Jimin first in the morning and before going to sleep. Jungkook takes time to pick Jimin to and from work. He plans cute simple date nights to get to know each other. Jungkook put in every effort to win back Jimin's trust.

It didn't take long for the two to be completely in love with each other, though neither of them confessed.

And then one day A/N, Jungkook's cousin who wanted Jungkook to marry her best friend, meets Jimin. She already had a bias just like Jungkook had in the beginning, already deciding to hate on Jimin. It didn't take long before she commented on how Jimin was too childish and that Jungkook was stuck with him because the man didn't have a choice.

Jungkook wasn't there for this conversation and Jimin was deeply hurt with her accusations so once she leaves, Jimin talks to Jungkook about this

"Am I really not fit for you?" Jimin's voice was drained

Jungkook understood that A/N must have said something and he tries to calm Jimin but the boy doesn't listen

"Do you even care about me?"

Jungkook suddenly felt hurt - wasn't his actions enough to prove that Jimin was his life? Why was Jimin asking all this now? His love doesn't believe in his love?

Jimin just walks away when Jungkook doesn't answer

"A/N is right..."

Jungkook runs behind the boy and hugs him before turning him around

"I don't know what A/N told you and I don't care...misunderstandings and fights happen between couples doesn't mean they don't love each other....I'm sorry... for not showing myself to you completely..." Jungkook reaches out to hold Jimin's hands and then he leans down to kiss the boy's engagement ring "...I love you... what I thought was a compromise I had to live with, turned out to be the greatest blessing to me...I love you with my whole heart Jiminah..." Jungkook says wiping the tear that rolled off Jimin's eyes "...you are more than enough for me..you are it for me...and I am so sorry you had to ask me that... it only means I haven't shown you how much I really care about you... I'm sorry..."

Jimin shakes his head "No...I know ....but sometimes it feels good to hear a reconfirmation..."

Jungkook smiles before kissing Jimin's forehead

"Can I get a reconfirmation too?"

Jimin slightly pushes Jungkook before running away

"No!"

"Yah! That's not fair!" Jungkook runs behind the boy, soon catching up to him and the two fall onto the couch

The two pant heavily as Jungkook hovers over Jimin, the two looking intently into the other's eyes

"I love you..." Jungkook says, his eyes darting between the boy's lips and eyes

"I love you too..." Jimin says, his voice melodious to Jungkook's ears

Jungkook didn't know those simple words could erupt a volcano in his tummy

Jungkook reaches out to caress Jimin's face

"May I?"

Jimin smiles before wrapping his arms over Jungkook's neck, making the man lean forward

"Please..."

And with that Jungkook pulls the tiny boy into a passionate kiss
