Jeon Jungkook, the cold, brilliant CEO of Jeon Corporations was in an arranged marriage with Park Jimin, the radiant interior designer with charm that lit up every room he entered.

"Good morning!" Jimin would say every day as his arms wrapped around the man's waist in a hug

Jungkook didn't hug back. But he also didn't pull away.

Jimin counted that as a win.

**

Jungkook never initiated. No hugs. No soft touches. No early-morning texts.

But Jimin didn't take it personally - at least not in the beginning.

He simply showed up. Every day. For lunch.

"Hi, babe!" he'd say, breezing into Jungkook's office with a homemade bento or takeout from Jungkook's favorite place.

Jungkook would blink, glance at the clock, and sigh just slightly before setting down his pen.

"You don't have to do this every day," he'd say, monotone.

"I know" Jimin would grin. "But I want to."

**

One Thursday, Jimin arrived a few minutes early. Jungkook wasn't in his office, but the door to the lounge was slightly ajar. Voices carried.

Jungkook's voice sounded flat and tired.

"It's not that I dislike Jimin. I just... lunch is the only time I get work done without back-to-back meetings. I have to stay overtime because I lose that window every day. He's sweet but....it's suffocating sometimes. I need space. And I can't tell him. He'd be hurt."

Jimin's heart dropped.

His hand, still holding the lunch bag, trembled.

He slipped away before they noticed. In the elevator down, he texted

Sorry, can't make it today ...or maybe for the next few days. Swamped with client work

No heart emojis. No playful stickers. Just polite distance

**

Jungkook stared at the message, rereading it.

No Jimin at lunch.

No Guess what happened today! messages.

No selfies from the studio with paint on his nose.
