Jimin smiled, soft and a little shy - he squeezed Jungkook's hands tighter, feeling the warmth, the sincerity radiating from him like sunlight breaking through a long winter.

"I think I love you too" Jimin whispered, his voice trembling slightly, from nerves, from relief, from the magnitude of it all. But then he took a breath, grounding himself in the man before him. "No... I know I do."

For a moment, Jungkook just stared at him, stunned. His mouth parted, his body frozen. Then, slowly, a tremor moved through him and in the next second, he was pulling Jimin into his arms, holding him like he never wanted to let go.

"You don't know what that means to me" Jungkook said against his hair, his voice rough and low, heavy with emotion. "I've built empires... destroyed kingdoms... but this..." he pulled back just enough to look into Jimin's eyes, "this is the only thing that matters. You are the only thing that ever mattered."

Jimin reached up, brushing his thumb over Jungkook's cheek, feeling the slight dampness there - not from blood or rage, but from something far more terrifying - vulnerability.

"You earned this, Jungkook" Jimin said softly. "You earned me. With patience. With kindness. You chose to change - not for power, not for control but for love."

Jungkook pressed their foreheads together, eyes fluttering closed, breathing Jimin in like he was the only thing keeping him alive.

They stood there, in the garden bursting with roses, in a silence so sacred it felt like the world itself was holding its breath.

Then hurried footsteps. A gasp.

Mrs. Jeon, her hair pinned neatly but slightly undone as if she'd run the entire way, stood at the garden's edge. Mr. Jeon was beside her, dignified and composed, though his eyes shone too brightly to be dry.

Mrs. Jeon took in the scene - the entwined hands, the soft, teary smiles  and without hesitation, rushed forward.

"My boy" she sobbed, her voice cracking in a way Jimin had never heard. She threw her arms around Jimin so tightly he staggered back a step, stunned. "Thank you... thank you for loving him!" she cried, clinging to him as if he might vanish. "Thank you for existing... for breathing... for being in this world where my son could find you!"

Jimin froze for a moment, his body tense with the instinct to guard himself. But the warmth in Mrs. Jeon's embrace, the desperate, motherly affection, slowly melted his defenses. He closed his eyes and hugged her back, a shaky breath leaving him.

Over her shoulder, he saw Mr. Jeon approaching, calm but resolute. The older man rested a firm hand on Jungkook's shoulder, squeezing it with unspoken pride.

"You've given him something we could never give" Mr. Jeon said, voice deep and steady. "You taught him how to love, how to hope, how to live." He nodded at Jimin, solemn. "We are... forever in your debt, Jimin."
