Jungkook had always known his fate was sealed. In his world, love was not a luxury - it was a contract. A transaction.
As the cold and calculating CEO of Jeon Enterprises, he had seen the worst of people - greedy socialites, gold-digging beauties, and those who saw him not as a man but as a means to power.
So, when his family informed him of his arranged marriage to Park Jimin, a world-renowned model, he expected the worst.
He had met models before. Women and men who would do anything for the limelight. People who threw away dignity for fame. People who whispered sweet words with lips that had lied too many times. Jungkook had no reason to believe Jimin would be any different.
But then, Jimin walked into his life like a soft breeze.
Jimin, with his delicate yet strong presence, had shattered every expectation Jungkook had. He was beautiful, yes, but there was a quiet intelligence in his eyes, a kindness in his actions. He never demanded, never sought material gain from their marriage. Instead, he did little things - texting Jungkook to tell him where he was, making sure Jungkook ate on time, bringing him coffee when he worked late.
**
At first, Jungkook resisted. It was too good to be true. People like Jimin didn't exist. And if they did, they weren't meant for people like Jungkook.
Yet, Jimin never gave up.
The turning point came when Jimin declined a lucrative photoshoot offer. It wasn't just any shoot - it was partial nude, sensual, intimate with another model. It was a career-defining opportunity, one that many in the industry would kill for.
Jungkook had expected Jimin to accept it. After all, wasn't this his world? But when the agency called to confirm, Jimin's answer was clear.
"I'm married now" he had said simply, his voice unwavering. "I wouldn't do anything to hurt my marriage."
Jungkook had stared at him, stunned.
Later, when a nosy interviewer prodded further, asking if Jungkook was the one who forbade him, Jimin only smiled softly.
"It's not about Jungkook being uncomfortable" he had replied. "I'm uncomfortable with the thought of touching someone else or letting someone else touch me. Someone who isn't my husband."
Jungkook had felt something crack inside him. No one had ever spoken about him with such sincerity before. No one had ever put him first without expecting something in return.
**
That night, when they returned home, Jungkook found himself unable to look away from Jimin. He was brushing his hair, completely unaware of the way Jungkook's heart was hammering against his ribs.
"Why are you like this?" Jungkook whispered before he could stop himself.
Jimin turned, blinking. "Like what?"
Jungkook swallowed hard. "So... good to me."
Jimin chuckled, stepping closer. "Because I love you, Jungkook."
Jungkook froze. He had spent so long building walls, so long believing love was a weakness. But standing before him was Jimin, who had never asked for anything except to love him.
And suddenly, Jungkook realized he wanted to love him back.
With hesitant hands, he reached for Jimin, his fingers curling around his wrist. "You're too good to be true" he murmured, voice barely above a breath.
Jimin smiled, pressing their foreheads together. "Then believe in me, Jungkook."
And for the first time in his life, Jungkook did.
**
Jungkook started showing his love in quiet ways.
When Jimin had a long shoot, Jungkook would send food to the set, making sure he ate.
When the weather turned cold, he wordlessly placed an extra blanket over Jimin at night.
He left notes on Jimin's dressing table, simple words like "Don't overwork yourself" or "Come home soon."
**
One night, Jimin found Jungkook waiting outside his shoot, leaning against his car. "You didn't have to pick me up" Jimin said, smiling.
Jungkook shrugged, opening the door for him. "I wanted to."
It was these moments, these small gestures, that told Jimin everything he needed to know.
**
One evening, Jungkook finally let his heart speak. They were on the balcony, the city lights twinkling beneath them. Jimin was wrapped in a blanket, sipping tea, when Jungkook exhaled deeply.
"I was scared" Jungkook admitted, voice rough with emotion. "Scared that you were too good for me. That if I let myself love you, I'd lose you."
Jimin set his cup down, turning to him. "And now?"
Jungkook met his gaze, eyes filled with something soft, something unguarded. "Now, I know that I'd rather take the risk than live without you."
Jimin's breath hitched as Jungkook took his hand, pressing it over his chest. "I love you, Jimin."
A slow, beautiful smile spread across Jimin's lips before he leaned in, pressing a kiss against Jungkook's lips - warm, tender, and filled with the love they had both found, against all odds.
"I love you too" Jimin smiled rubbing his nose against Jungkook's, making the taller man grin
The end
