Jimin sat on the edge of the bed, his fingers trembling - he had been contemplating this for weeks, torn between the love he had for Jungkook and the life he wanted to build, a life that Jungkook might never allow.

Jungkook, despite his love for Jimin, had always been clear about one thing: he didn't want children. He didn't want the responsibility, the vulnerability that came with bringing a life into the dangerous mafia world they lived in. Every time the topic came up, Jungkook would brush it off, his words harsh and final

"If you ever get pregnant, we'll take care of it. We can't afford the risk."

Jimin couldn't ignore the feeling that the one thing he truly wanted but the thought of raising a child without the man he loved, or worse, seeing Jungkook resent him for choosing to keep a baby, was unbearable.

But the final blow had come when Jungkook had unintentionally confirmed his deepest fears during one of their late-night conversations. "You have to understand, Jimin. This world... it's not meant for children. I don't want that for us..."

And so, with a heavy heart, Jimin wrote the letter. It was the hardest thing he'd ever done.

He didn't know how Jungkook would react, but he knew he couldn't keep lying to himself anymore.

**

That night, as Jungkook returned home late from a meeting, he entered their shared bedroom to find Jimin gone. He noticed a letter resting on the pillow

Jungkook's heart pounded in his chest as he approached, feeling a pit grow in his stomach. It was in Jimin's handwriting.

He sat down on the edge of the bed and slowly opened the letter. His fingers trembled, a sense of dread settling over him. As he began reading the carefully penned words, his stomach twisted.

I'm sorry, but I can't choose you over them anymore. I've fallen in love with someone else, someone who will love me without fear of what our future could bring. I know this will break you, but I hope you understand why. You've always told me you didn't want a child, and I don't want to force you into something you don't want.

Jungkook's hands clenched the letter tighter, his breathing shallow. His mind spun, unable to make sense of the words. Jimin, the one person he loved more than life itself, was telling him goodbye.

But then, there it was—the final line:

But I can't be a murderer either...

Jungkook's heart stopped - Jimin... was pregnant.

He stood up abruptly, the letter falling from his hands. His heart was pounding in his chest, his breath quickening. He couldn't let Jimin walk away. Not when there was so much more to this than he realized.

Jungkook didn't even think. He rushed out of the apartment, calling his men, his voice sharp and urgent. He wasn't about to lose Jimin without a fight.

As he made his way through the quiet streets, he kept his phone pressed to his ear, barking orders to his security team. "Find out where he went. I need him back, now!"

His heart was heavy, thoughts scattered. He couldn't let Jimin think that he didn't want their child. The truth was, he had been scared. Scared of the world they lived in, scared of the enemies who would stop at nothing to hurt them. But he had never stopped wanting to be a father. And he needed Jimin to know that.

When Jungkook finally found him, Jimin was sitting in a small park, staring into the distance, his hands gently resting on his stomach. The faint moonlight illuminated his face, his eyes filled with a mixture of fear and sadness.

Jungkook approached him carefully, his voice quiet, but his presence unyielding. "Jimin."

Jimin didn't look up at first, but when he heard Jungkook's voice, his shoulders stiffened. "Jungkook, I thought you would just let me go. I don't want to hurt you anymore. I can't..."

Before Jimin could finish, Jungkook knelt down in front of him, gently cupping Jimin's face with his hands. "Don't say that. I don't want anyone else. I want you. I love you, Jimin. I was wrong. I was so wrong."

Jimin's eyes shimmered with tears. "But you've always said..."

"I said that because I was afraid. I was trying to protect you, protect our future from the dangers I know are out there. I didn't want you to get hurt, I didn't want us to be vulnerable. But I... I've always wanted a family with you. I want this baby, Jimin. I want you both. Please, don't leave me."

Jimin's breath hitched as he gazed into Jungkook's eyes, seeing the raw sincerity there.

"I'll protect you, and I'll protect our child. I don't care about the risks anymore. We're going to do this together, Jimin. You and me. And our family."

Jimin felt the weight of those words settle deep in his chest. The fear that had clouded his heart began to fade as he realized, for the first time, how deeply Jungkook cared for them both.

Jungkook's hand gently moved to Jimin's stomach, as if already imagining the child they would raise together. "We'll make it through this. Together."

Tears fell freely from Jimin's eyes now, but they were tears of relief, of love, of hope. He leaned forward, pressing his forehead to Jungkook's. "I love you."

"I love you more than anything," Jungkook whispered, before pulling Jimin into a tender kiss. "You're my everything, Jimin. And I'll never let you go."
