Chapter 6 River is a Body of water

After I ran out of that hell hole. I went towards my locker.

"Ugh! I hate that guy. So what if I'm in a scholarship here? Does that give him the right to do that? I promise someday I'm gonna kill him and straggle hi-"

"Wow violent much" I was cut by Derek's voice.

He was casually leaning against the wall.

"Why are you here?" asked a bit rudely, hey in my defense none should be near me when I'm mad.

"Feisty" he said smirking

"Smirking jerk" and then the idiot grinned with amusement evident in his eyes.

"Are you ok?" before I was going the make a comeback Stacey interrupted

"Yeah" I sighed

"Wait what happened?" Derek asked

"As if you care" I said

"I thought we're friends" faking hurt with his hands on his heart and I just rolled my eyes

"We're not"

"But I thought we had something in detention" he said

"OA much?" And he gave me a questioning look

I rolled my eyes and said
"Over Acting"

He nodded his head and muttered "Oh"

"But seriously what happened?" he asked

"My brother's a jerk" Stacey said and for a second I almost forgot she was here. "He threatened her education"

"Hey! that's my friend you're talking about" Derek said defensively "although you're right" he said nodding to Stacey

"High five!" Stacey shouted and and high fived Derek. They are really weird

"But why would he do that?" Derek said turning back to the subject

"Apparently I took his seat, guess the 'prince' loves his seat too much he became bipolar"

"Sorry about that Ali" Stacey said

"It's fine Stace"

"Well I'm off" Derek said cutting me and Stacey off

"Won't you even comfort her?" Stacey said and Derek rolled his eyes and said

"If you stay near him you'll be in trouble" he said seriously

"Nice advice" Stacey said sarcastically

"Thanks" Derek said and he walked out

"Jerk" Stacey muttered

"I heard that!" Derek shouted through the hallway

"He's right Stace staying away from Ryder is the best idea"

"Ali Ryder maybe sometimes a jerk but his a real softy inside." Stacey said "and I'm not just saying that because his my brother but because I know him."

After class I was making my way outside the school when my phone buzzed with a message that says

'You didn't deserve that kind of humiliation' it came from that unknown number again and since I was confused I texted back

'Huh?'

'Lunch' and realization finally hit me that accident with Ryder, I should've known

'How'd you know'

'I was there' wait what

'How?'

'We go to the same school.Ring a bell' oh yeah I totally forgot about that

'By the way who are you? I mean seriously you can't just text any girl without telling them who you are. It's kinda creepy' I said changing the subject

'Call me River'

'Are you serious?' I mean it's a body of water. Who would do that to their child?

'Are you making fun of my name?'

'No'

'You're lying'

'How can you know?'

'I can see you smiling like a crazy person' what? I looked around but saw no one, well that's weird.

'I'll see you tomorrow bye!'

'Wait I thought you were watching me'

'I was there, was' River is totally a strange dude. But he sure can be entertaining. I wonder how he looks like.

He made me forgot about the whole Ryder thing.
