19 - ORIGIN

THE GHOST MONKEY'S ORIGIN

Previously...

Silver uses sign language to communicate with the giant monkey, Lǐ Huì, and convinces it to move from the city.

The group follows Lǐ Huì, with Silver sitting on its shoulder.

Meanwhile, Scourge is carried away by Fleetway, who prevents him from attacking Silver.

Sonic is injured by glass and is treated by Dr. Ivo, who appears with Colonel Abraham and Blaire.

The Colonel instructs his troops to clean up the debris and tells Sonic to follow his friends, take care of Shadow, and report back tomorrow.

Sonic then runs off to catch up with the others.

"Where are we going..?" Amelia asked.

"Windy Meadows." Shadow answered the question coldly. "I wonder why did that wander into the city." He thought until Amelia popped his thought bubble.

"How do you know sign language?" The female 'hog asked.

"Language and speaking was the first things that was taught to me when I was created, which includes Sign language, I was first taught the American Sign Language which came from Earth, then Mobian Sign language, which have its differences." Shadow sighed as he felt nice enough to answer her question.

Shadow stopped when he saw a Blue Streak go past him and stop a few feet away from him and Amelia.

"Hey you two." Sonic smiled at them.

"Sonic, I thought you weren't coming- What happened to your leg?" Amelia paused as she noticed Sonic's bandaged leg.

"Oh this? It just got cut by glass." He smiled.

Shadow eyed the injury before he walked to him and crouched down to inspect the leg.

Sonic's eyes widened and he winced as the Sub touched his leg with a hand before a light blue colored light emitted from his hand.

"What are you doing?" Sonic asked.

"What do you think?" Shadow replied sassily. "You don't even know how to bandage your leg properly." He remarked as he removed the blood drenched bandages. "There, I don't usually use my Healing as the usage of my Heal will heal you by draining your life force."

Sonic smiled and stretched his legs.

"Ahh... That feels nice, thanks but I feel fine, and it's a small wound." Shadow rolled his eyes at the taller 'hog while Amelia sighs as she got caught between the two.

"You may not feel its effects right now but if I keep Healing you, the effects will soon sink in." Sonic's gaze at the older Hedgehog softened.

"Sonic, you should listen to what Shadow is telling you." Amelia says like a mother scolding her child.

"I am, I am!" Sonic huffed like a child as Amelia giggled at the older Hedgehog's reaction.

Shadow rolled his eyes as Sonic started talking with Amelia, and the voices of the two was drowned with his own thoughts.

"He smells like lavender..."
