Your eyelids flutter open. Bright lights, white walls, the smell of clean, the feel of warmth, and beeping sounds immediately fill your senses. The source of the warmth on your hand is none other than Hiro, who is snoring lightly next to me.

"Hiro?" You shake my hand, trying - and failing - to wake him up.

"Hiro! Get your butt up!" You shake harder.

You finally decide to softly shout in his ear and Hiro pounces up and then slurs, "Gah! Don't hurt her!"

You shoot him a look and he responds by staring at you like a deer in the headlights, trying to process what has just overcome him and you.

"(Y/N)? You're awake!"

"Hiro... I had a strange dream."

"Okay, tell me about it." He says, still holding my hand, just glad you're still here.

"Well you were there, and there were these people calling me Candy Floss, and then my dad was there and my mom. Then there was this fire burning down the showcase building. I was still inside and Tadashi saved me. But, my mom died in the flames and so did Tadashi. I saw them all die."

Hiro's smile drops and a frown lands. "I- it wasn't a dream, unfortunately. You've been asleep for about two weeks. A lot has changed. Callaghan is dead, your mom is dead, and so is Tadashi." You could tell he was breaking.

Tears start to stream down your face. Two weeks. Two weeks of your life that you'll never get back.

You take in my familiar surroundings. You've been sent back to Aunt Cass' and Hiro's trying to call everyone in, now that you're alive. You don't think you should be though. Your mind races to all the possibilities, how many people you could've saved. How if you had just stayed with the group instead of hiding in the bathroom, everyone would be alive.

You hear my signature ringtone singing out of my phone and pick it up.

You pick up the phone and hear a faint voice calling your name.

"(Y/N)?" You hear again.

You shut your eyes tightly. The voice makes you cringe. The tone sends a shiver all the way down your spine.

You open your eyes and feel tears wetting your face. You hesitate, but still reply.

"(Father's Name)." You mock him.

"Now, (Y/N), there's no need to be like tha-"

"Yes there is!" You interrupt him, "You were a horrible father! You were hardly ever there, and when you were, you would verbally abuse me and you were drunk."

You know you have every right to be furious at him.

"Well I'm here now." He tries to reason with you.

"No! You left me and mom. We were broke in a crappy apartment having to work. I had to babysit and walk dogs. Mom had to pick up cosmetology and work every single day. You never came back and you missed all these important times in my life. Birthdays, concerts, holidays. Did you just stop caring about me?" The words sting in your mouth and make your heart ache, he doesn't even need to answer because you already know he did and the truth hurts.

"(Y/N)?" you hear, not over the phone, but closer.

You turn your head to see the gang all standing by the door. You motion for them to come in as your father whimpers through the phone. You had to have him in speaker the entire time due to you ears being damaged slightly.
