Chapter 116: Capsized

Scene for Kingdom Hearts: Poseidon

Outside, Sora and Kairi hear everyone inside the ship, celebrating the New Year. They both smile, knowing that their friends are having a good time too, like they are. Kairi holds his hand, and smiles at him. He smiles back. They both lean in to kiss, but then, they suddenly feel something, like danger is coming. And then, they hear rumbling. They both look ahead, and see something shocking. It's a rogue wave. It's huge, and it blocks the moon out of view. 

Sora: Oh, no...

Kairi: Sora...

They both look at each other, and they rush back inside. Staff Captain Harrison comes onto the bridge, and sees Reynolds trying to turn the ship to starboard.

Harrison: Reynolds, what the heck are you doing?

Reynolds: There's a rouge wave coming at us, starboard! 

Harrison looks out, and he sees it. 

Harrison: Oh, jeez.

He looks at the monitor, and sees that the ship is not turning fast enough.

Reynolds: Turn! Come on. Come on, come on! 

Harrison: We're not gonna turn in time. Sound the alarms! Now! I'm heading back to warn the captain. 

Reynolds: Yes, sir!

Harrison rushes out to head back to the ballroom. They've only got a couple of minutes before the wave hits them. He still hears the celebration going on. He makes it back in time as Reynolds sounds the alarms and speaks through the P.A.

Reynolds over P.A.: All crew, report immediately to your emergency stations. This is not a drill. All passengers, brace for immediate and heavy rolls. 

Harrison: Captain! 

Bradford turns to him as everyone stops cheering and looks around.

Harrison: Incoming rogue wave! It's coming right at us at the starboard side! 

Bradford: Oh, gosh! Everyone, brace for impact! 

Everyone in the room all scream and shout as they run to find cover. The heroes all look around as they see that something is about to happen. Reverend Scott looks around in shock as he stands by Robert. Sora and Kairi come back in as Nelson comes into the ballroom too. They regroup with their friends, and they all look at the windows. They see the wave coming at them. 

Bradford on P.A.: Fire, life, and safely crews, proceed to your muster stations immediately. This is not a drill. 

They see it's now closer, so the heroes all brace themselves. Then, the wave hits the ship hard. Everyone grunts, and shouts and screams as the ship is now tilting to its side. Reverend Scott holds onto a railing as everyone is sliding or falling to the side. The heroes all scream as they slide down too. Ruby holds onto Zwei as Odd holds Kiwi. They all hit the wall, grunt in pain. Ren looks, and yells as a table comes at him. He dodges it. Sae is screaming as she heads for the window. Martin grabs her hand to stop her. Harrison grunts as he slams against the wall. Susan and her brother hold onto the railing. In the Night Club, Acres yells as he tries to hold on as everyone is now sliding down with everything else. He's by Christian. They both let go, and fall down. They slide down, and their legs get caught in a light fixture. Acres screams as his arm gets hurt by something. The entire ship now underwater upside down. It tries to go back upside up, but the damage is great, that a explosion erupts on the side, and the hull groans as it tilts back down upside down and stays there like that. All the crew on the bridge are dead as the bridge filled up with water, and they drowned, including Reynolds. The lights turn off everywhere on the ship, and the emergency lights come on. And spare liferafts deploy from the ship. The hull creaks as the ship is now upside down. In the Castle of Dark Illusions, the villains see this, and smirk. 

Pete: (Laughs) Looks like those fools are now gonna be a tough situation. 

Maleficent: Yes. (Chuckles) Something tells me that they're gonna have more trouble. I'll send a monster in there just to be sure. They will not get out of that ship alive. 

The villains all laugh at this. Looks like things are looking good for the villains and bad for the heroes. What will Sora and his friends do now? Will they get out of the ship alive? And how many survivors are there?

Here's the sneak peek of Kingdom Hearts: Poseidon. This story is dedicated to Gene Hackman, for the Poseidon Adventure movie was one of his greatest hits ever back then.
