One Shot (Various Characters X Reader)

The Avatar's Keeper

[A/N: Just a Normal x Reader, with Korra in it because I'm such a simp for her and have this crazy idea of a Fanfiction!]

It is Normal to start the usual day for most people, but the White Lotus, a secret organization led by Iroh of the Fire Nation back in the 100-year war, has other plans. Today was the initiation of the White Lotus' graduational Keepers.

Of the 20 participants of the Keepers, 5 chosen people will eventually do the job well. And one of the top is someone Former Fire Lord Zuko knows so well. He's responsible for teaching and letting that person into the organization. The Former Firelord knocked on the large oak door that had a Fire Nation Emblem and gold knob. He knocks at the door and waits for a response. "Come In." Zuko chuckles and enters the room with a noticeable grin on his face and leans slightly lean to the door frame. In front of her is a young girl who is around 12 years old, with the sharp features of a Fire Nation descendant, ember eyes, and pitch-black locks that are tied into a neat knot. Her hands are covered with black fingerless gloves, and her eyes are focused on the things that she has. Her eyes averted to the side, and her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Former FireLord Zuko? What do I owe this visit?" She said.

Zuko smiles, "Don't be so formal. You know me so well about how I started to hate those things ever since I stepped down as Firelord." He remarks.

"Unfortunately, I also wonder what's the reason you visit... Lord Zuko?" She says, not letting go of the formality.

"(Y/N)... Please." Zuko insists.

(Y/N) Let out a sigh and put her finished bags down. "Apologies, I tend to be more on the line until now, ever since I started my training, Uncle Zuko." She said, dropping the formalities as Zuko went for a hug and squeezed his niece tight. He lets go of the hug and still has his hands on both of her shoulders. "Don't be so intense, up, (Y/N)." He says with a certain amount of comfort and confidence in his Niece's capacity.

"I'm not." She says, looking at her Uncle. Truthfully, Zuko is (Y/N)'s grand uncle; she was known to be the granddaughter of Zuko's sister. It wasn't Kiyi's but Azula's granddaughter. But the only ones who knew her true identity were Zuko, Mai, General Iroh II, and Fire Lord Izumi. To the outside world, she was known to be a girl who had incredible talent and intelligence. When Zuko set out to find his other sister for his mother's sake, he found out that Azula eventually lived a peaceful life and had children, one of them being Khi, who had one daughter named (Y/N). Ty Lee is the one who took care of the young protege. "You're nervous, aren't you?" Zuko inquires. She shrugs and only keeps her composure, which she picked up on when living under her grandmother, Azula. Sure, she was nervous, but she couldn't contain her excitement.

"A bit," She answered truthfully. She glances at her granduncle. "Are they going to be there?" She asked. She knows that Azula and her Granduncle may have a few knicks and knacks at each other, but hopefully, this could be set aside since it's her day. Knowing Grandmother Azula, she can despise (Y/N)'s decision to live under her Granduncle's care, but she cannot let her selfishness and hatred filter her granddaughter's life, so she respects it, and so does her mother. "Hopefully, knowing Azula, she would've gone through with your rite of passage." He says. Through those years, her grandmother found enlightenment and redemption all on her own, but still had a hunch about her brother.

The Former Firelord is kindred to her sister despite their having quarreled over the past. Zuko also looked past meeting his Grandniece and Granddaughter, "She'll be there; she gave me her word after all. And knowing your Grandmother and your mother, they won't even miss this." Lord Zuko said as he touched her shoulder to soothe her nervousness. His eyes averted to the side, giving the most uneasiness to his position and releasing a sigh that (Y/N) noticed. Sure, she's 12 years old for her age, but she's more mature than you think.
