Once Aislinn was in the cell she turned her whole focus on the brown wolf huddled in the corner. She let out a low whimper when he didn't move in response to her entrance. He should have been able to sense her, feel her.

Sensing her growing discomfort Kaiden laid a hand against her neck, his hand burying into her fur as the cell door shut softly behind them. Leaning into his touch they moved together to approach where Richard still lay unresponsive on the cold cement floor.

The harsh metallic smell of blood and pain hit her nostrils and she whimpered again.

"It's okay love, he'll be okay. It's just the sedatives Ethan had to use to keep him from hurting himself. They'll wear off soon." Kaiden spoke softly his hand stroking over her neck as she pressed her body into his hip and chest. Needing the comforting feel of his presence and to borrow from his strength.

Moving hesitantly she approached her Guardian. She wasn't scared of him, she knew he wouldn't hurt her. No she moved cautiously because she was nervous of what she would find that she had caused. Her actions had done this. Guilt and regret flooded her. She had caused this and now she had to face the repercussions.

Nudging his body with her snout she let out a sorrow filled howl when he stayed still and indifferent. She tended to his various wounds, cleaning the blood from his muzzle and neck before curling her smaller body into his side, offering whatever comfort and support she could.

Watching his mate, Kaiden let out a long exhale before settling himself onto the cold cement beside her.

Her body now comfortingly sandwiched between her mate and guardian, she gave into the sense of peace and safety, succumbing to her own exhaustion.

"I want to see my brother!"

"He's busy right now. I've told you already, he can't see you yet."

"I'm his sister, how can he not have time to see me?"

Letting out a breath of air and shaking his head Clay looked at Ciera in exasperation. "You better than anyone know the shit that he's dealing with right now. You just need to be patient."

"You mean Aislinn." Ciera said, sounding unimpressed.

Another sigh escaped the head warrior as he studied his Alpha's little sister, even before the latest turn of events she had always been a handful. Always irritating and pestering her brothers and their friends any chance she got. "Yes, Aislinn. His mate." Clay said carefully and with fake emphasis, trying to get the girl to let it go.

"Mate sh-mate." Ciera mimicked while waving her hand in the air dismissively.

"Ciera!" Clay snapped.

"What?" Ciera demanded.

"What!? You can't talk like that Ciera. Seriously what's wrong with you? What the h*ll are you thinking? You better than anyone know what they are going through."

"Exactly! They aren't the only ones that are dealing with this shit! I'm freaking out too! All I'm asking for is to be able to talk to my brother! It's important!"

Clay felt like banging his head against the wall. He narrowed his eyes as he appraised the small she-wolf in front of him. Letting out another breath he couldn't deny the fact that he'd rather deal with a horde of rogues rather then continue to try and argue her out of whatever it was she had decided she wanted. "What exactly is it you need?"

"To talk to Kaiden."

"About what?"

"Stuff."
