Chapter 18: Meeting His Family

The door was opened by Seb's mother, Heike. She was older than Tatiana, but she still looked so beautiful and fresh. She gave a wide smile to both of them before she hugged her lovely son.

"How are you, my son?"

"I'm fine, Mutter, thanks. I miss you so much."

Heike smiled after she pulled away. "I miss you too, Seb."

Seb then introduced Clara to his mother. "Mutter, let me introduce you to Clara."

"Good morning, Heike. I'm Clara."

At first, Clara gave her hand to shake it with hers. But Heike pulled her instead to give her a hug and also kissed her cheeks. She didn't expect that she would do that. She thought that she would only shake hands with her on their first meeting.

"Morning, Clara. I'm so glad to meet you."

Clara smiled. "Me too."

"Seb told so many things about you."

"Really?" she asked before glancing at Seb for a few moments.

"Yes. Let's talk at the living room. Come in."

Heike wrapped her hand on Clara's back and brought them to the living room there. She couldn't believe that Seb's family would give her a very warm welcome. When they entered the house, it seemed so quiet. She didn't know where Seb's father, sisters, and brother were.

Then, Heike asked Clara to sit on a sofa at the living room, next to Seb. "Clara, Seb told me a lot about you. He said that you always cook for him and Heikki whenever you are at his house."

"Yes, that's right, Heike. But that is one of his requests," she answered her politely.

Heike nodded. "He told me so."

"By the way, where's Vater?" Seb asked Heike as Norbert was unseen.

"He is in the bedroom, Seb."

"I see. What about the others?"

"Fabian is doing some homeworks with his friends, Melanie is buying some fruits at a supermarket, while Stefanie is on vacation with her boyfriend."

"Really? Where to?"

Before Heike replied Seb's question, she was cut off by Norbert who came from his bedroom. He also heard what his son asked to his mother, so he helped his wife to answer it. "Stef is visiting Paris."

"Oh... hi, Vater!" Seb stood up and hugged him.

"Hi, Seb! How are you?"

"I'm great, thanks."

"Good." Then, Norbert looked at Clara. "You must be Seb's press officer, right?"

Clara followed Seb to stand up. Then, she shook hands with Norbert. "Yes, I am. Nice to meet you, Norbert."

He smiled at her. "Nice to meet you too, Clara."

"Clara, Stef has told me that you can stay at her room," Heike told her.

"Erm, thanks for the offer but, I don't want to bother you all. I will look for a hotel near this house."

"It's fine, Cla. Stay here please," Seb begged her.
