"There are millions of people in Hell scattered throughout the seven rings and nine circles. Some are sinners, some are Hell-born, and some are unlucky souls who got screwed in the living world."
"These are their problems."
*LUKE*
At an elementary school, a limousine pulls up with the doors opening before Charlie exits out. Without wasting time, she enters the school and immediately heads to the principal's office. There, she finds the head of the school with a younger Luke, around 10 at the time, siting in a chair with bandaids and bruises on him.
Principal: Thank you for coming, Ms. Morningstar.
Charlie: Of course. What happened this time?
Principal: All out brawl during lunch. Luke landed the first blow and things escalated there.
Charlie: And the other kid?
Principal: Kids. Four of them were bruised up. From what previous teachers and students say, they were known to bully and misbehave during class. However, they didn't go with fists first, unlike your son.
Charlie had to resist the urge to pinch her nose by this.
Charlie: How long is his suspension?
Principal: Because Luke threw the first punch, I'd normally give a month. However, because his grades are better than average, I'm willing to lower it to 2 weeks. In the meantime, I highly recommend you get the boy anger management. (Under his breath) Maybe even prepare a euthanasia plan.
Charlie had heard that, and the only reason she didn't try to strangle the principal was because Luke was already in enough trouble as it is. At the moment, she just wanted to collect her son and leave.
Charlie: I understand. I apologize for the brawl, and will ensure Luke understands what he did wrong.
With nothing else said, Charlie takes Luke out of the school and they head to the limo. As it drives away with mother and son in the car, Charlie had a stern expression while looking at Luke.
Charlie: Well? I'm waiting.
Luke: For what?
Charlie: Your side of the story.
Luke: Nothing to say. Like that old fart said, I threw the first punch.
Charlie: You only do that when you're provoked or protecting someone. Luke, tell me the truth, why did you fight the kids this time?
Luke: I don't get what's the big deal about it. We live in Hell, people fight for dumb reasons on a regular basis.
Charlie: Not all of those fights are for dumb reasons.
Luke: Most are.
Charlie: Luke.
Luke saw she was beginning to become more stern by this. So, he relents.
Luke: They were bad mouthing about you.
Charlie: Me? How so?
Luke: They were saying that you're weak and stupid, and that they would want to do nasty stuff to you. I told them to stop and they said I'm just a hellhound that shouldn't be born. They wouldn't shut up, so I hit them.
Charlie then understood why Luke did that. He had moments in the past where the reasons were similar, but also when it was to help someone.
The limo pulls up to the house where they exit and entered inside.
Charlie: If you have any homework, finish it up. Afterwards, we're going to work on an apo—
Luke: I'm not saying sorry to any of them.
