I kiss Sal goodbye as the taxi arrives to take the guys to the airport.
"Text me when you get to Vegas."
"I will. Love you."

A few hours later, my mum arrives. I invited her to stay for the week to keep me company.
"Hey! How have you been?" she hugs me.
"Yeah, good thanks." I make her a cup of tea and we sit on the sofa "How's dad?"
"He's fine. He's missed you.' she takes a sip of her tea "I still can't believe you've been living here for nearly a year."
"I know, it's gone so fast."
"Aww. You seem really happy here though."
"Yeah, I love it. I love Sal."
