Sal comes home Friday morning as I'm eating breakfast.
"Hey beautiful." he says as he kisses me on the cheek.
"Hey." I reply, looking into my cereal.
He sits on the chair opposite me.
"What have you been up to?"
"Just had mum over but she left yesterday." I say, still looking at my cereal.
He breathes out through his nose
"Why aren't you looking at me?"
"I don't know, you tell me!" I throw the magazine on the table in front of him.
His eyes widen at the sight of it then he slowly looks up.
"This isn't true."
"That's what they all say!"
I start walking out of the kitchen when he grabs my hand and pulls me back.
"Wait! I love you more than anything...that's why I married you." his voice is soft, like the first day we met.
"I know. But who was that girl?"
"It was a dare, you know what the guys are like."
I manage a smile and he hugs me tight.
"I've got something for you." he says, handing me a Las Vegas snow globe.
"I've got something for you too." I pick up a rectangular box from the sideboard and give it to him.
