Codie

Where the fuck was Blayze?
When you were the designated driver, it was always all the more frustrating to deal with the drunk ones.
Blayze was that drunk one tonight.
Even more bizarrely, in his drunken state he'd been pushing the women off him.
As a general rule, our group has never struggled in snagging womens' attention.
These days I take no notice of the observation, because the only attention I want is Noah's.
Most people thought me a bloody idiot getting with a sixteen year old when I was about to be twenty-four.
But the last year has been the best of my life.
In my mind, age is but a number.
She's smart, hot as hell, can hold an intelligent conversation and god she makes me laugh!
Finally I spotted Blayze.
"'Bout fucken time!"
I chastised.
"She's gonna kill me."
Blayze pulled his trademark white Rough Rider from his head and ran a hand through his disheveled black hair, his blue-green eyes troubled.
Uh oh...
"Who's gonna kill you?"
I asked and looked the way he'd come from.
He'd had about four Girl's trying over and over again to get his attention tonight.
One of his admirers, Scarlett, came walking — or more like wobbling on her massive high heels — from the general direction Blayze had come from.
The alcove that led to the bathroom and the stairs that led up to the room's.
I turned back to Blayze and raised a questioning brow.
"Scarlett?"
"What?!"
He looked alarmed.
"No!"
He waved a dismissive hand, his hat fanning me.
"Then who?"
Since when won't Blayze tell me?
"Awe man!"
He pulled his hat back on and ran both hands down the sides of his face.
"I didn't do anything, but she'll kill me."
He all but whispered.
Okay so he hasn't done anything...
I pushed to my feet from the bar stool and clapped him on the back.
"Then you're all good mate!"
Blayze's eyes widened.
"How the hell do you figure that?"
"What?"
I frowned, confused.
He's doing my head in tonight!
Shaking my head, I turned to the bar and waved to get Kyle's attention.
He made his way over, raising a questioning brow.
"Grab us a water?"
I asked, hooking a thumb in Blayze's direction.
With a smirk Joel's Little Brother handed me a 1.25 litre bottle of the stuff.
I rolled my eyes and turned to give it to Blayze.
He frowned.
"What the fuck do I want that for?"
"Just take it and start drinking!"
I ordered.
Blayze sighed and took the bottle from me, the plastic crunching under his grip.
Suddenly I felt the rapid vibrating against my leg that told me Noah was calling.
I pulled the phone from my pocket and promptly answered her call.
"Hey Babe."
I greeted, holding my phone against my left ear.
"Are you okay?"
Noah sounded a little alarmed.
What the?
"Yeah. Where are you?"
I asked.
"Just parked. You sound...weird."
I could practically hear her frown.
"We'll come out."
I promised.
I don't need douchebags hitting on her tonight.
I'm having a hard enough time keeping tabs on Blayze!
"Okay."
She replied.
I pulled my phone from my ear, hung up and slipped the device back into my pocket.
"C'mon."
I placed a hand on Blayze's shoulder and pushed him toward's the doors.
"Keegan! Joel!"
I waved the other two over.
If they wanted a ride, they'd better come now.
They fell into step behind me and Blayze made his way out of the pub first.
I noticed he was yet to open the water.
"Start drinking buddy!"
I urged and clapped him on the back.
His hangover was probably gonna be a good one tomorrow!

We stepped out onto the cement porch, the doors swinging shut behind us and turning the music into a muffled drone.
Just ahead, I spotted Noah and Bailey.
Noah had parked beside Blayze's Ranger as I'd thought she would.
"Righto! So Bailey you'll drive Blayze's car?"
I extracted the keys I'd long since stolen off my Friend out of my pocket.
Blayze frowned at me.
"How'd you get them?"
"Coz I'm awesome!"
I replied.
Blayze turned and seemed to notice the company we had.
His eyes widened marginally.
"She's gonna kill me!"
He all but whispered and turned as if he was going to walk the other way.
The problem was, he was going to have to go through Keegan and Joel.
"Oh no ya don't!"
Keegan placed his hands on Blayze's shoulders.
I looked at Noah and Bailey and then turned to the boys and met Joel's gaze.
A knowing smile twitched at our Friend's lips.
I raised a questioning eyebrow.
What does he know?
Joel shrugged.
Hmmmm.
