Chapter 7

Raphael had one of his Sais poking the back of Hikari's furry neck. "How did you find me. I'm a shadow in the night." She whined "Well it wasn't hard spot someone when their adding extra commentary." She didn't realize she was that loud, "Oopsie?" She said apologetically as she turned to face him. She definitely saw a few bruises starting to form around face, neck, and arms. "Hey Raph." Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo came to where their brother was at. She laughed nervous and anxious "I'm so screwed." She muttered under her breath as she was soon surrounded by the turtles. "What are you doing here?" "Uhhhhhhh...." "Did Shredder send you?" "Uhhhhhhh...." "Stop it Raph." Leo stepped next to his brother, Raph stood back but continued to glare at Hikari as if he was trying to burn a hole in her head. "Now, what are you doing here?" Hikari mustered all her courage and boldness, which considering her situation there wasn't a lot "Why do you want to know?" trying to keep her strong appearance when she was about to pee herself in fear. "Because Shredder wouldn't send her here if she wasn't important." She took out her ninja star and set it on Leo's neck with the threatening position of silting his throat "Where is she, where is ARA? Tell me now if you don't want to die." He sighed as his brothers went into a fight stance in case they had to take her out if she did anything to their brother, he took her hand and set it away from his neck. "She is in a secret location but she is safe." Hikari's eyes softened but just a tad, knowing her best friend was safe made her look and seem less dangerous. She let out a breath she had been holding since Ara didn't come back from the mission, she looked him straight in his crystal blue eyes. "Take me to her." He maintained his calm expression but turned back to look at his brothers. It looked like they were communicating with their eyes, Raph's were saying that it was a trap but Leo's retaliating saying that she could not be as bad as she seems and Donnie was agreeing saying that she have more intel about the Foot's plan and Mikey ask what toppings they could get on their pizza.

Eventually Donnie and Leo agreed they should bring Hikari, Raph decided to mope and pout about being out voted, and Mikey was gonna get some Pepperoni and Sausage pizza. They turned to face her all, she was anxious about what they were to say "Follow us." He said simply and they started running in one direction. Caught by surprise by their reaction she ran after them after a full 28 seconds, she wasn't a fast a runner and as soon as they leaped over the second building she was panting like an entire group of people running a 5k but she still carried on. Soon they jumped into an alley, Hikari jumped too busy thinking about the phrase all mothers said if their child was doing something that everybody is doing 'If your jumped off a cliff would you too.' When she hard concrete Leo lifted open the sewer lid, Hikari scrunched up her face in disgusted as the putrid smell of sewer musk "Your kidding." "Bottoms up dude." Mikey said as they all made a path towards the glorified vomit hole "Ladies first." Raphael said smirking at her utter disgust of the situation but held her nose and jumped down hole along with the others.

When they landed in the subway tunnel, Hikari followed the turtles down the practically pitch black tunnel they saw a opening that led to their living space.

ARA'S POV

I was meditating thinking recalling the memories of my family, because even though I was young at the time at moments at peace like this I can remember them perfectly. My eight siblings , my brothers Amenemha the oldest, Ata, Butau, Geta, and Hotep, and my sisters Akela, Hasina, and Neferetti, even though it's been over nine years since I saw them in the flesh I remember each and every one of them vividly and not just the way they looked but how they acted. I wonder what they're like know, I know that Amenemha would probably be taking over our kingdom and became a part of the community council. Hasina would definitely be one of the mightiest warriors since its been her dream since we witness real live Egyptian army soldiers train on a base camp.

I sighed feeling a warm tear fall down my face, before the waterworks could even turn a wheel I heard a series of people drop down from the surface. Even though, from what I heard, they were about seven hundred feet away I grabbed my bow and arrow pulling aiming it in a way that could take out all of them at once. But when I heard a very familiar feminine voice. Crap. She cannot be here, please don't be here, oh God for the love of Isis she can't be-

"Ara, you're alive!!!!" And she's here. Yay.

I put on my best fake smile "Hikari, you're here." Why are here? "I came looking for you when you didn't come back." She hugged me so tight that my eyeballs could have popped out of their sockets if she held me any tighter. I glared at all the turtles who were standing behind us, Leo smile at the fact that he returned her back to me like she was one of my most prized possessions. Raphael just smirked at my glare like he enjoyed my very unwanted situation, I wanted to slap it right off his stupid cute turtle face.

Huh? Did I think his face was cute? Nah.

Anyway not the point I still want to hurt him. A girl with ginger red hair, a sunshine yellow shirt, shorts with faded black tights underneath, and black and white converse high tops. She came in and took one look at me and jumped behind the futon couch with a petrified look on her freckled face. "Is that another m-mutant?" I looked at her with annoyed look on my face. Like I needed to hear that today "Eek, another human. I have to run for my life before they kill me and turn me into a handbag." I said in my most girly voice I could come up with up at the moment. She flushed in embarrassment not able to look me directly in the eye. Leo glared at me, I knew that was kind of mean to say but these stupid humans are surprised at the most irritable things.

I walked out of the room completely pissed, I kept walking having a feeling somebody was following me, "HEY!" Raphael came up next to me "You should know that it's my job to storm out completely pissed."

"Then join, it's not like I give a mummies tomb what you do." I retorted glancing at him but turning my head when he looked me. Before I turned I caught a glimpse of his emerald green eyes which even under the darkness of the tunnel glistened. They were the most beautiful pair of gems I ever seen in my life. Then he smirked slightly knowing that my cheeks were a very slight tint of red that normal people wouldn't even detect under the dark lighting.

What. The. Heck. Is. Happening??? Once I snapped back to reality a sudden wave of awareness washed over me. I was not only unarmed but I'm with the enemy, this is feeling of exposure. He could take this moment to get rid of me, that is what Shredder said Splinter taught them. To be ruthless, I guess why we were taught to be just as deadly. I guess that's why the Beast resides in me.

"why are you even following me?" I harshly said as he continued to following like a guard watching after a convict. Well I guess in a way I am as well. "Trust me I don't want to follow you either," Raphael said "but they said someone said to look after you." "Great, I'm not only prisoner but I have my own watchdog. Absolutely fan flippin' tastic." I jumped onto a building and climbed to the top with Raphael not too far behind.

I rushed forward and hid, I saw a small metal stump, ran to it and sat down, crossing my legs, and I closed my eyes only listening to the sound of the city noise. It seemed like I was finally once again at peace 'this is nice' I thought when my mind began to wander through memories, I relaxed when I thought back to my family playing in the desert oasis that was my home. Like when my parents first taught me how to hunt, when my older siblings showed me the pharaoh's tomb in one the pyramids, the flow of memories rushed my brain like the Nile and started a drizzle in my eyes.

I could feel the tears streaming down my face, but continued to go through my memories "Are you okay?" I heard a voice say, I opened my eyes stopping the memories. I saw Raphael standing there in front of me looking genuinely concerned, I quickly wiped my eyes "Why do you care?" "I don't." He said back to his anger induced attitude "Look I honestly want to go home without you, but my brothers told me to look after you, so come on let's go." "Your brothers telling what to do. Like a well trained mutt, well honestly I'm disappointed. I expected a rage filled monster who didn't do other people said, but like I said you're just a leashed dog."

Purple, blue, and red veins were threatening to burst from his turtle green skin. Just like that, I was back to my old self not a missing anybody from my past. I have to admit I'm a bit of a hypocrite, I mock Raphael for acting like a trained puppy, doing what his brothers asked him to do but to be honest those only differences between us was that we had different masters.

And that if I didn't sit for him, I would be punished harshly.
