Sweaters (Bruce Banner x Reader)

You held the coffee in your hands enjoying the warmth the cup gave off. It was a chilly fall day in New York. You were bundled up in a sweater and a beanie with a warm knitted scarf around your neck. You stood in Central Park gawking at the beautiful colors the trees were. You smiled to yourself taking a sip of coffee feeling the warmth travel down your body. You sighed checking your watch,

3:45 P.M

Bruce was almost an hour late. He had been so busy with the Avengers and working with Tony that you barely got to see him anymore. But he promised you today it would just be you two and you both would enjoy a nice day in Central Park. He also knew Fall was your favorite season and wanted to see the colors of the season with you. You took a deep breath as you rocked back in forth on your heels beginning to get bored and wanted to walk around even if Bruce did ditch you. You found a bench to sit down on and people watched while sipping your coffee. After a little while you looked at your watch again,

4:15 P.M

You were beginning to suspect Bruce wouldn't show. You checked your phone and were disappointed when you saw no new texts from him. You sighed and stood up bumping into somebody,

"Oh..sorry." You said grateful you didn't spill your coffee. You looked up to see Bruce's warm brown eyes looking down at you smiling softly. He had on a gray knit sweater and he looked pretty good in it,

"Bruce!" You exclaimed throwing your arms around him.

"I didn't think you would show up." You said slowly.

"I know, I'm sorry. I got held up at the Tower but here I am." He said causing you to giggle. He was too cute,

"I got you these..." Bruce said taking his arm from out behind him which you didn't even notice. He held out a bouquet of Roses.

"Oh Bruce...These are beautiful! Thank you!" You exclaimed kissing his cheek making him blush a little.

"Anything for my Princess." He said smiling at you.

"Well shall we walk around?" He asked holding his arm out.

"Why of course." You said smiling taking his arm.

You both walked around Central Park enjoying the beautiful colors however you were pretty sure Bruce was more so looking at you then he was the trees. But you didn't mind, you enjoyed the cool day and watching the leaves fall and hearing them crunch beneath your feet. You and Bruce laughed at a few children dressed in halloween costumes, You listened to Bruce explain certain scientific things about nature as you both were fully interested in science.

As you both were beginning to grow tired, you found one last thing that you loved about Fall...

"CARAMEL APPLES!" You yelled to Bruce who laughed at your child-like excitement. You grabbed his hand and dragged him over to the stand. The woman at the stand gave Bruce a warm smile as he payed for two apples.

As you walked away Bruce handed you your apple. Which you took greedily and immediately bit into it,

"This has been so much fun!" You exclaimed laughing as you both sat down on a bench.

"Yes it was." Bruce beamed at you taking a bite of Caramel Apple.

Your smile faded a bit,

"Bruce this isn't going to be a once in a year thing right? I want to do this as much as possible... I want to spend time with you. I barely see you anymore, Your so caught up in work and being an Avenger which I understand is a very very stressful job. I just want to be able to see and spend time with my boyfriend more then what feels like once a month. I just feel like you like your work more the me. " You said slowly.

Bruce looked into your (Y/E/C) eyes for a few moments before responding,

"I'm sorry (Y/N). I didn't know how you felt about me working so much, I'm sorry and I love you so much. My work is never more important then you, okay? I love you Princess." He said kissing you,

His lips were rough and chapped from the chilly air, they tasted like Candy Apples and Coffee. You placed your free hand on Bruce's cheek and You felt his hand on your lower back pulling you closer ever so slightly. You pulled away for air,

"Aww I wanted to kiss you more." Bruce said making a fake pouty face.

"Yeah and I wanted another bite of my apple." You said teasingly taking a bite of Caramel Apple.

"Oh whatever..." Bruce said chuckling.

"Love you." You said giggling.

"Love you too." He responded smiling sweetly at you. "So much."

Hey guys! I'm sorry I haven't updated in so long and I'm sorry if this is really crappy.
I've just had a lot of stuff going on most of it bad but I'm trying my best to keep up!

I'm think about doing a fall series for just a couple a of characters but what do you guys think??
Most of them will probably be short like this one but they'd be fall dates or Halloween stuff. Comment below what you think!!
