Why did you make the tree
You didn't have to die for me
Oh glory be, oh glory be
Why did you make the tree
Why would you make a choice
Why give humans their voice
Why give us a say
Why make sinners a way
Why make a fool move
Not on your part but for us
What have we to prove
Why let us cause such a fuss
Why'd you make the morning star
For it to turn to (the) night
Why make a problem you see from afar
Why make you a one against you to fight
What made you make a path to sin
What made you make the universe spin
Why make a way for doubt to win
Why have us wait in this pin (e)
The fruit you made for us when two
now we can your name spew
When will we see the second tree
When with it one to be
The tree of life the tree of light
Keeps alive our will to fight
Without one what with the other
One is twain and twain is one
Dark as moon yet bright as sun
black as night light as day
one with Life and death to stay
heading on the narrow way
to the tree of light I go
Eternal night on me bestow
Time is mine but also yours
sin and shame are heavens doors
life and death on me pours
I control all All controls me
This power's mine and it is yours
Remember this perspective is key
Time life death perspective be
Just remember you're the key
Yet still my question stands remains
Why did you make the tree
