Lucas and I were sat on the grass. The sun was beating down onto his pale white skin. He looked tired, but then again everyone did at this place. It was college.

"I don't get why they didn't hire Leonardo Di Caprio." He was saying. I had no idea what he was talking about. Truth be told, I hadn't been listening. Lucas had one of those voices that I could only describe as unbelievably, inconceivably boring. Hands down, I think I had heard rocks that were more interesting than Lucas.

He was probably a nice enough guy; I just didn't have the strength or the patience to find out.

It was a positive relief when I noticed Tarim emerging from Evelyn's dorm block, with said girl in tow. She looked amazing and I couldn't fathom why. Her hair was waving softly around her shoulders and she had on a high necked and fitted black vest. Her shorts were so small they could have been underwear; they were grey and lacy so I couldn't quite work out what they were meant to be.

She was so out of my league.
