"How do you plant celery?" Ashton asks, fiddling with a piece of celery in his hand, staring at it intently.
I was currently sitting across from him at the dining hall at dinner.
It was a Friday night so nothing was really going on today.
"I mean it's a vegetable, aren't all vegetables seeds at first?" Ashton continues.
"I don't know I'm not a celery expert," I furrow my eyebrows at Ashton, giving him a strange look before Luke sits down next to me, slamming his tray down on the table.
"Do you know how cel–"
"Calum's with Ms. June again." Luke interrupts Ashton.
"Who's Ms. June?" I ask.
"Therapist," Ashton says with a piece of celery in his mouth. I give him a disgusted look before bringing my attention back to Luke.
"Why is he there?" I question.
"He's getting bad again," Luke sighs, taking a sip of water from the bottle next to his tray.
"Is it his depression?"
Luke nods his head, biting into his sandwich. "I'm pretty sure it's because of Sara."
"No shit it's because of her." Ashton spat.
"Why are you blaming it all on Sara?"
"She left him. He loved her and she left him without an explanation as to why she's leaving," Luke tells me. "Can you imagine having someone you love just leave you?"
I don't have to imagine. It's happened way too many times to me. This place is one of those reasons I know what it's like having someone you love leave you.
I stay silent, stabbing my fork into the chicken on my plate.
"I'm gonna go see him." Ashton stands up from his seat.
"I'm going too," Luke says, following Ashton out of the building.
Yes, Luke, I do know what it's like having someone you love leave you.
