The Wind Whispers Your Name

Chapter 1

A burning house. An angry crowd. A pitch black forest. A trial of blood. A hurting body. And then it all stops.

I run and run till my legs won't carry me anymore. I fall against a tree and just sob. I sob and sob until the pain goes numb and they catch me again.

I let them. They think I killed them. They think I would do something like that. I'm starting to believe them.

I let them chain me up and beat me senseless. I'm tired of running. "Just get it over with!" I think to myself.

I freeze when I see it though. Those deadly blue eyes. They seem to stare down into my soul. I can't get his glare out of my head. He has something to do it! I know he does! I just can't prove it.

He raises up his fist, which is clutched around a weapon of torture, and is about to lash out on me when a creature of some sort emerges from the shadows and protects me.

He defeats him and releases me from my chains and carries me through the woods.

I have my head on his chest the entire time he carries me. We walk farther into the woods then he sets me down on a large stone.

"Sonic! Sonic! Speak to me are you ok?" He asks me. I stare into his eyes and let his deep soothing voice wash over my body.

I place my hand on his cheek and I stare into his deep crimson eyes,"Yes Shadow I'm alright," I reply with such a weak voice.

He breaths a sigh of relief," Now Sonic there is something I need to tell you," he begins and places a hand of my stomach and leans closer," but first I need you to do something for me," "What is it Shads?" I ask as I lean closer.

"Wake up"
"What?"
"Wake up!"

My eyes shoot open. "Hello earth to Sonic! Wakey Wakey eggs and bakey! Rise and shine I'm not gonna let you sleep in all day like yesterday!" Shadow chuckles as he shakes my body with enough force to wake me up.

Shadow becomes more serious when he sees me in a cold sweat. He then sits down on the bed and helps me sit up. "You had that dream again didn't you?" I just nod my head.

He then pulls me into a hug and pats my back letting me cry on his shoulder. I cry for about five minutes, when he pulls me away and gives me deep passionate kiss and tries to calm me down.

"It's ok honey it was just a dream. Dreams are just bad memories that never let us forget our past," he said as he stroked my back and gave another kiss.

"I know it's just there is something weird about this dream. Don't most dreams change over time? I've been having the same dream for months now and it hasn't changed! There is something up wrong with?"

Shadow smirked as I sat there and pondered. He kisses my forehead and places a tray of breakfast on my lap.
I looked up at him surprised," What you think I was lying when I said eggs and bakey?" He laughed and I returned with another laugh.

"So love since today is such a special day I think we should go out and have a little fun today," he turned his head and smirked at me as he saw me turn and look back at him with a fork with a piece of egg on it sticking out of my mouth.

"*muffled* Huh? What you talking about  Shads?" Shadow then looked at me pretending to be shocked and surprised"number one Sonic love don't talk with your mouth full and two *gasp* Sonic don't tell me you forgot!"

"N-No! O-Of course I d-didn't forget it! I stuttered slurping down some juice trying to hide the fact that i had no idea what I forgot . Luckily he didn't notice my stuttering,"ok good! So finish your breakfast and meet me downstairs!" He said as he excitedly leaped off the bed and ran out the door.

All I could do was smirk when he left. Sometimes Shadow acts like such an impatient child.

I then finished my breakfast, got out of bed, changed out of my pajamas and into actual clothes, and carried my tray to the kitchen.

After I washed my dishes, I turned around and walked to the living room where I was sure Shadow was, but when I got there I was shocked to see him not there and the front door wide open.

"Shadow never leaves the door open!" The thought dreamed in my head as I bolted outside closing the door behind me and breathed a sigh if relief when I walked into the front yard.

"There you are love! What you took you so long?" He asked hanging upside down from a tree.

"I was looking for you dear I thought something terrible happened when I saw the spot wide open!" He then jumped down and gave me a hug.

"Sorry honey I guess I was so excited I forgot to close the door!" He chucked with his Han on the back of his head looking embarrassed. But it's soon ended when  he joined his arm with mine and dragged me to the garage.

"Why are we gonna do in here?"I asked as he pulled me in farther. "Well my Sonikku I don't think we'd be able to everything we wanted if we just walked around all day so of figured this could speed things up a bit," he then pulled off a tarp and revealed his old motorcycle.

"Wow really Shadow! We're actually gonna ride on your motorcycle! I always wanted to!" I couldn't help but squeal a little as I spoke I was just to excited.

"Yes my dear I knew it was something you wanted to do so I made it the first thing on out itinerary." He then hooped into the motorcycle and made it roar to life.

The sound of the engine's roar sent shivers of pure enjoyment down my spine as Shadow patted the seat behind me and I gladly sat down behind him.

"You might want to hold on this thing has quite a kick," I quickly wrapped my arms around his waist as he chuckled and hit the gas.

And with that we jilted out of the garage and sped down down the driveway to town. During the entire trip I couldn't help but have a huge grin on my face because I had never felt so alive in entire life and I loved it!
