Bella P.O.V

When I enter her room, Ava I whaling inside he crib, crying almost to the point I think her throat is hurting. I walk to her crib, taking her in my arms.

"There, there, baby girl, what's wrong?" I ask her, pulling her small hairs from her forehead. She puts her thumb in her mouth, sobbing. "Are you hungry? Do you want your auntie to make you some food?" I walk out of her room to the kitchen where they keep all the baby food.

I open the pantry just to find it filled with everything but baby food. I sigh, walking to Rosalie's room. Ava can't stop crying.

"Rose, there's no food left for Ava, want to go to the market?" I ask her.

She stands up, taking her keys from her nightstand. "Yeah, sure. I'll drive."

The drive to the market was long, nothing seemed to make Ava stop crying. Not soothing, no spoiling, no baby talk, no music. Absolutely nothing. I swing Ava from side to side as we walked inside the market, ignoring the staring from all the people that were here.

Rosalie leads me to the baby aisle and grabs all the food her basket can fit while I swing Ava from side to side, singing her favorite song. Yet, the little girl can't stop crying. I point to the food and tell her that as soon as we buy the food, she can eat it. It didn't work. People kept staring and I like to think they stared because of the crying baby I have in my arms other than what has been in the news today.

The woman at the cash register wouldn't stop looking at me as I stood behind Rosalie with Ava. It annoyed me.

"Excuse me, Miss?" I turn around to see the middle aged man standing behind me. He's handsome. Light brown hair and deep blue eyes. He smiles showing off his dimples and says, "I'm sorry to bother you, my name is Simon. Is everything okay with your baby?"

"Oh, um, she's my niece," I say. "She's just hungry and I can't find a way to calm her down."

"Oh, we can't have that," he smiles, taking a Gerber from the register. He opens it up and hands it to Ava who immediately stops crying and starts eating it with her hands. I look at her amazed. "It doesn't count as stealing if you don't walk out without paying it at least," he says.

"Thank you so much," I tell him. "I'm Isabella."

"I knew I've seen you somewhere," he points out. "The news has been all around your case lately."

I roll my eyes. "The news do not know what privacy is."

"You can say that, again," he laughs. His laugh is so weird, that it made me laugh. "Look, I'm a lawyer and what I've seen so far on the news, you need a lot of help. I can help, trust me, you can trust me."

That actually sounds like a good idea, but how do I know I can trust him? How do I know Edward is not going to flip out if he knows I've been talking to some stranger who helped me calm Ava down with Gerber about my case?

I smile at him. "I don't know, I barely know you. How do I know you're not actually from the news undercover to come with fresh news about my case?"

He laughs, again. "Trust me, if I were an undercover journalist, I would had picked a better job and dumped into you instead of helping you with the baby."

I don't see how that makes a difference, but I guess I'll take it. "Okay, how about you give me your card and I'll call you if I happen to need any help in terms of law, deal?"

"Sounds like a plan for me." He takes out a card from his pocket and hands it to me. Simon Anderson. "I'll be waiting for the call." He turns over his heel and walks away.
