Biloxi, Mississippi

Kirsten awoke to the fresh smell of coffee. She assumed that Jacob must've woken up and made it himself. Her hands searched for Cameron's warm body, but all she could feel was the silk pillow case. She longed to feel his warmth, and to hear his rhythmic heartbeat. She sat up and looked at the time.

9 a.m.

She hadn't slept in this late in a while. Kirsten made her way downstairs to surprisingly see Cameron sitting at the bar.

"I hope you don't mind.." He said, "I made coffee to wake myself up."

His eyes were swollen, and his hair was a mess. Even though he looked like a total wreck, Kirsten was still amazed at how beautiful he was. She smiled.

"That's perfectly fine."

"So about.. Last night."

Kirsten closed her eyes. "Yeah about that. Wanna tell me what it's all about?"

He hesitated for a moment and then said,"When I was around 5 or 6, I would always come home from school, wishing that I didn't have to come home. I prayed everyday, that something would happen. So that I wouldn't have to go home. I knew when I got home.. That my drunken father, would be upset, and I knew that I would be who he'd take it out on.." He stopped, to keep himself from crying.

"10 years, and I can still feel the pain of him punching me in my stomach, taking my breath away. Taking my teeth out sometimes, and taking away 10 years of my childhood."

"Cameron... I-"

"No.", he tossed his hand up," I don't want you to feel sorry for me. I don't want that. I just wanted you to know why I have those nightmares. But last night.. When you laid Down with me, and you laid on my chest, I felt calm. I felt relieved. I felt.. At home."

Kirsten smiled. She couldn't help but blush as well.

"You're always welcome here cam. Always."

"I know this may be a little weird.. But would you... Like to go on a date with me tonight?" He smirked. His eyes widened waiting for an answer, and he wanted nothing more than to just hear a yes.

Butterflies filled Kirsten's stomach. "of course!" She said gleefully.

His smirk turned into a wide smile. His eyes gleamed with pure happiness.

"Good. I almost thought you were going to say no on me!"

"How could I say no to THE Cameron Dallas?"

Kirsten smirked and threw a dish towel at him. He playfully threw it back, and laughed. She couldn't help but think to herself, 'how could we have only known each other for this short amount of time, and already were inseparable?"

"So tonight at 7?" He laughed.

"Tonight at 7."

It was currently 4:45 and Kirsten was doing laundry. Cameron had left to go and buy himself some new clothes, since he had only brought enough for 2 weeks. He obviously planned on staying longer.

Kirsten picked up his pants and began to look through the pockets to make sure there wasn't anything in them valuable. She pulled a folded envelope from the right pocket, and read her name on the front. She looked at it confused.

"To read it.. Or not to read it.." Her mind contemplated back and forth on whether to do it or not. She shrugged and quickly ripped open the envelope, pulled the letter out and began reading.
