Chapter 16.

"Serena?!"

"Martijn" I say with a low voice, and look down to the ground

"Serena where are you? Are you okay?!" he almost shouts at me. Woops, I probably should've called him earlier

"Sorry for nor calling you Martijn, I'm fine now, I'm at Julian's place" I say, hoping that he won't get mad at me

"You are kidding with me.. Tell me that you are kidding with me" he says with sarcastic laugh. I don't know why is he acting like this

"What?" I say, little bit unsure, I know that he gets mad easily

"You are at Julian's place?! Do you know that I almost called police to search for you? Do you know that I spent the whole day searching for you?! You scared the shit out of me!" he yells at me, and I have to move the phone from my ear from how loud he is. I could hear him breathing, and he was breathing fast. He is angry

"Martijn I'm so sorry.. I wanted to call you, but I didn't want you to worry" I say, immediately regreting the way I said it, because I know what is he going to say now

"Make me worry?! I was worried as hell because you didn't call! If you called I wouldn't worry at all!!" there it is. I knew that he would say exactly that

"Sorry Martijn.. Can you just.. come? I need you" I say, and I hear his breathe calming

"I'm on my way already, I'll be there in ten minutes" he says and hungs up

"He is mad at me for not calling him.." I say to Julian, who was now sitting next to me. I was outside while I was talking to Martijn, so Julian didn't hear anything

"I'm sure he's not mad Serena, he was just worried for you" he says, and somehow I believe him, maybe because that is what I want to believe in. I don't want Martijn to be mad at me, never

"I don't know, he sounded so upset.." I say, looking down to my lap, and I notice Julian's hand aproaching to mine

"Hey, don't worry about it. I know for sure that Martijn can't get mad at you." he takes my hand in his and I smile

"Thank you Julian. You are really a good friend" I say as I look him in the eyes and smile

"I'm here for you, whenever. Hey Serena, can I ask you a question? You don't have to answer if you don't want"

"Sure, ask" I say

"Do you like Martijn?" he asks. Well it's pretty obvious I know.

"Can I trust you? And I need to know that you won't tell anyone anything" I say. Suddenly, I feel like I can tell this to Julian. He's been really good to me today, and he deserves me to be honest with him

"Of course that you can trust me Serena, I'm your friend" he says with calming smile, and I don't think twice before I tell him

"I think that I like him.." I say, and his smile wides

"Thought so"

"But please don't tell anyone. You and Natalie are the only ones who know that I have this small crush on him, he can't find out anything about this" I look him in the eyes, and he just smiles

"Don't worry, here, take this invisible key" he lifts his hand up, and 'holds the invisible key' in his fingers

I 'take it', and lock his mouth

"See? Shut and locked" he says and I smile.

I hug him, and he leaves a small sweet peck on my cheek.
