I know, I know you've been lectured about spelling hundreds of times before and you think you've got it covered. You know the difference between they're, their and there.

But I can't stress this enough- double check your work before you post it.

On my first book I ever wrote, I had a spelling mistake on the first line which really stunted the growth of my book. Once I had changed it, I found that people read on through my book.

Now what I'm going to say to you may sound a bit controversial because you're supposed to spellcheck every chapter and make sure everything is perfect but I think as long as your first few chapters are faultless you can draw in enough readers who will be able to pass over spelling mistakes on future chapters. Now I'm not saying write chapters like:

I was so exctd + he was like are you their yet? And I was lyk nahhhh bruv so he said alright ajd we wait 4 a whil and then he tunred up...

But if you have the occasional mistake after about chapter 5 then most readers will be able to look pass it. Its usually spelling mistakes on the first few chapters that put people off reading a book.
