TWENTY FIVE

Early morning, there were a lot of doorbells ringing from my apartment. It was endless and it was pissing me off.

I glanced at my alarm clock on my bedside table. It was already eight in the morning. Then I noticed a paper beside it.

Tinapon ko iyon at hindi na pinansin. Parang nasasanay na ako na umaga palang ay wala na siya.

Hay. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night. I just had four hours of sleep and after I knew Kellan left somewhere and never came back, my eyes won't allow me sleep again.

My eyes just can't stop producing too much tears. Hindi ako mapakali kung nasaan siya kagabi at kung bakit niya ako iniwan at kung bakit siya umalis. Hindi na talaga ako naniniwalang meeting iyon.

He was meeting with Meg!

"Viane! Open this door, bitch!"

Rinig ko mula sa labas. Boses palang kilalang-kilala ko na kung sino iyon.

"What do you want?" I asked him.

He looked like stupid. His hair was messy and he had dark circles around his eyes. Just like me. He looked exactly like me.

"Where's your fucked-up husband?"

"I don't know." tipid kong sagot.

"What?!"

Ay bingi! Gwapo sana, bingi lang. "What do you need, Corbin, please? I need to find my husband too, he's missing,"

"What? I didn't see Meg since early in the morning too!"

"Fuck." I mumbled. Fuck!

Posibleng nagsama nga sila.

Pain started to rise inside me. Biglang tumaas ang mga balahibo at ang pag-iinit ng mga mata. My legs are becoming jelly and weak.

"What? Speak up!"

Huminga ako ng malalim at tumingin sa kanya. I tried too hard not to break down. "Do you think they're together right now?"

"They are probably."

I felt the liquid rolled down my cheek. "No."

"I'm gonna find them." mabilis itong tumakbo paalis at iniwan akong nakatulala.

"Corbin!" Huminto ito at lumingon sa akin. "I'm coming with you."

Habang ako ay hinahanap si Kellan, si Corbin naman ay hinahanap ang girlfriend niyang si Meg.

Bago kami umalis, I checked Kellan's apartment with the extra keys he gave me. He wasn't there. Sobrang linis ng apartment dahil matagal na nung huling pumasok sa Kellan doon. Sa apartment ko na kasi siya tumitira at napabayaan na ang sarili niyang apartment.

"Let's check her apartment again. Maybe she already went home."

"You really think they're together right now?" tanong nito habang nagmamaneho.

"I really don't know, Corbin. Let's hope they're not."

"Meg is damn crazy about that guy, Viane. She went crazier when she knew she was pregnant with him, but God knows it was a fucking lie!" parang baliw na sabi nito.

Doon parang gumalaw ang tenga ko sa sinabi niya. "How can you say she was lying?"

"Listen to me," He glanced at me as he was driving. "I also don't know who's the father of that bitch's child but I am sure that I am, we had a night! But something happened between them too. So I really don't know, Viane. This is giving me a headache!"
