The car ride to San Diego didn't even feel like 2 hours. Michael and I made our Uber driver turn on Twenty One Pilots songs and the three of us jammed the whole time.

"Thanks for getting us here safely." I thanked the driver as I undid my seatbelt and opened the door.

"Thanks for introducing me to this band, they're awesome." the elderly man smiled and high-fived me.

"Bye, have a good night." Michael smiled at the man and got out of the car.

"Thanks, you guys too." was the last thing the driver said before I got out as well, closed the car door and he drove off.

"That guy was so cool." I laughed and Michael nodded in agreement.

"True. Come on, let's get inside." he smiled at me, we linked arms again and headed to the big house.

Shortly after we'd rang the doorbell, a middle-aged man with blond hair, a light beard and pearly white teeth, wearing a tux, opened the door.

"Hi buddy, nice to see you again." he said and bro-hugged Michael.

"You too, Feldy."

"Who is the beautiful lady you brought with you? I thought you'd come alone or with Calum." John said after their hug.

"Well, you thought wrong. This is my friend Bethany." Michael smiled proudly. John looked impressed and before I knew it, he was kissing the back of my hand.

"Nice to meet you Bethany. Have fun at my party you two, but not too much." he winked which caused Michael to roll his eyes and take my hand in his to lead me inside.

"So, what do you wanna do?" Michael asked, surprisingly not letting go of my hand yet.

"I don't know, what would you usually do now?"

"Grab a lot of drinks, sit down on that fancy couch over there and get drunk till this party seems like fun to me." he giggled awkwardly.

"Aw, well, today we can get drunk together." I pushed him lightly with my elbow and smiled at him.

"I'm glad I brought you with me then." he smiled back and then led me to the bar.

About an hour and a three drinks later, Michael and I somehow ended up slow dancing to the weird classic music, along with 2 other pairs of old people, in front of the crimson in Feldy's living room.

There were a few other people in this room, sitting on the couch or standing in the corners, mingling. Most of the people, though, were somewhere else in the huge house.

"How come we haven't seen the other guys yet?" I broke the silence between Michael and me while we slowly leaned from one side to the other.

"They're probably in the party room with Feldy and our other friends." he explained in a really soft voice.

"Party room? Why aren't we there?" I asked surprised.

"I don't know...I wanted to spend time with you alone." he blushed slightly.

"You're cute when you blush." I smiled and took one of my hands off the back of his neck for a bit to poke his cheek.

"I'm not blushing." he responded, slightly embarrassed, which caused him to blush even more.

"If you say so." I winked at him and tried really hard to hold back my laughter.

"Well, you're cute in general."

"Thanks, I try hard." I joked.

"Can't I compliment you without you joking about it in response for once?" he giggled.

"Sorry," I giggled as well "I'm not really used to getting compliments."

"You better get used to it then. Have I told you that you look really beautiful tonight?" he smiled proudly.

"You're a dork." I smiled and pecked his cheek before getting out of his grip and walking away.

"Hey, where are you going?" Michael jogged up next to me after a few moments.

"Trying to find a bathroom."

"First door on the left side in the hallway." he smiled.

"Thanks, I'll be right back."

When I came back from peeing, Michael was nowhere to be seen but I thought he'd come back soon.

I was wrong.

"Hey uhm, excuse me, have you seen a tall guy with bright red hair?" I asked an elderly woman by the crimson, after I'd waited for Michael for 15 minutes and sent him 5 texts without a response.

"No, sorry Miss." the woman gave me an apologetic smile and turned back to her friends.

"For fucks sake..." I whispered to myself and headed to the bar, because what else could I do?

"Beth?" I heard a familiar voice behind me right after I'd drowned a shot of Vodka.

I turned around and was hugged immediately. It took me a few seconds to realise that the one hugging me was Calum.

"Hi Cal." I smiled at him after our embrace.

"What are you doing here?"

"Drowing in alcohol."

"No I mean at the party." he giggled.

"Oh...I came here with Michael but he disappeared." I smiled again.

"Michael's with us in the party room, come join us." he smiled back at me and basically dragged me with him.

"Look who I found." Calum smiled proudly as we stood in the doorframe of the 'party room'.

The room was huge and had a dark floor and white walls, with a few sofas and comfortable chairs in the back corner on the left, a big TV and a few gaming consoles in the back corner on the right and a pooltable in the centre of the room.

The 5SOS dudes, excluding Calum who was still standing next to me, were sitting inbetween people I've never seen on the sofas as they all looked over to me.

"Beth!!!" Michael jumped up and literally ran over to me and hugged me. "You found me!!" he added

"Yeah, thanks to Calum." I said a bit annoyed but I knew I couldn't blame him, he was too drunk to notice that he had hurt my feelings by leaving me alone.

"Come on, I'm gonna introduce you to everyone." Michael giggled and pushed me to the others
