Lara Croft X Reader (Tomb Raider)

Being in  a relationship with an archaeologist who ventures out to dangerous, hazardous ancient tombs was... different. Sometimes there would be rumors where she was dead. I mean. After a few years you grow accustomed to it. Though sometimes... When she would leave for months on end you would fear that they were finally right, but then she would be knocking on your door at four in the morning bandaged, and bruised, sometimes broken with a small smile on her face. 

You loved your girlfriend dearly and she made it known that she loved you. Which was one of the reasons as to why she often left you blind when it came to what she was doing. She would tell you bits and pieces but never enough to actually know what was going on.

"(Name)?" Your girlfriend called out to you as you stared blankly at the page that you were supposed to be reading.

"Coming!" You chimed as you placed the book down on the table and walked to where Lara needed you. "Yes Lara? Did you need something?" You ask and she sits up on the bed.

"Yes. Come here." She said motioning for you to sit beside her. You smiled at her and complied to what she wanted you to do. Once you sat down on the bed she wrapped her ams around you and pulled you down onto the bed. 

"Lara? What are you doing?" You ask as you struggle not to put any of your weight on her. She had just gotten back from one of her trips. You didn't want to injure her by accident.

"What are you talking about? I'm going to sleep, and you are too" She said as she pulled you down. "And don't worry. I'm a lot stronger than you may think" She whispered and you rolled your eyes.

"Fine but don't complain to me when you wake up with broken bones" You said and she let out a small laugh.

"I won't need to because I won't" She said and placed a kiss on top of your head. You smailed and lazily wrapped your arms around her as well. "Hey (Name)" She whispered.

"Yes?" 

"Thanks..." She said and held you tighter. "Thanks for... being there for me." She said and you couldn't help but grin.

"It's my pleasure" You said and the two of you slowly drifted off into sleep.
