A knock on Alices' pink door startled the young hedgehog sitting on her black and pink plaid bed. Her eyes were pink and glassy, looking as if she would begin to cry at any given moment.

"C-...come in...'' She said quietly, voice cracking.

Her mother came in slowly, face showing concern. Alice gave a small squeak (She hated people seeing her weak) and she looked down at the floor. Amy sat beside her.

"What's wrong?" She asked gently, putting an arm around her shoulders.

Alice didn't look up. "I don't wanna talk about it..."

"C'mon Alice," Amy pushed gently. "We've been through this already. You can tell me and your father anything."

Alice continued to stare at the ground, but gave a shakey breath. "Well... Y-you know about my... My crush, Matt?"

Her mother nodded.

"Well, I... I somehow got the courage to tell him..."

Amy gasped and jumped up, smiling. She grasped her daughters' shoulders, and was about to say something. But when she saw the tears in Alices' eyes, her smile dropped.

"W-when I d-did... H-he gave me this... This look like I was crazy." She continued, hugging her sides tighter. Tears dripped off of her small, pointed nose. "He t-told me that h-he already has a-a girlfriend, then told m-me to n-never talk to him a-again. He walked away f-from me to go tell his friends..." She gave a small whimper and closed her eyes tightly. "The rest o-of the d-day was tor-tor-ture. Everyone laughed a-and pointed. The e-entire day." She then gave a quiet wail of grief and fell into her mothers' arms. "I don't wanna go back to school, Mom! Please don't make me!" Alice cried into Amys' shoulder.

Amy held her tightly as she cried, a sympathetic glint in her eyes. Her daughter sounded so heart broken and upset. It was torture to hear her baby girl cry like this, especially when she was such a strong and optimistic person. Just like her father.

''Oh, sweetie..." Amy whispered. "I never knew... I'm-"

The door bursted open suddenly and in came Bolt, fists clenched and a snarl on his face. His eyes burned with rage.

"I am giving that guy a peice of my mind tomorrow." He spat, walking over to the two. He knelt in front of his mother and gave her a look. Seeming to understand, she unwrapped her arms from Alice. He walked on his knees to face her and hugged her.

"B-bolt...?" Alice whispered.

Bolt looked down at her. "Alice, how much did he mean to you?"

"Alot..." She replied sadly.

"Was he one of those guys who had tatoos and muscles and stuff?"

She nodded against his fluffy chest.

"Then forget about him."

Alice bolted upright and glared at him. "What? "

"Alice, think about it. Did he ever show anything to you? Did you even know him all that well? No and no. Matt is a dush bag. I can tell. He obviously did a few bad things in his life, and ignored you."

Alice looked down at the ground. Her tears had stopped falling.

"Stop aiming for those guys, Ally." Bolt added gently. "You are better than them. Much better. They'll only hurt you. I don't want to see my only sister getting hurt, especially not like this."
