Chapter 2

My weekend goes by fast and before I know it, it's my first day of school.

I pull into the parking lot, of a very small Crestwood High School. I find a parking spot and sit in my car.
I hate being the new kid. It's always horrible. I don't know anyone. I don't even know where my classes are.

I get out of my car and pull down my coral colored skirt. That's pretty much the only thing I can count on in my life, cute clothes. I walk through the parking lot and go through a set of double doors into the school. At the top of my schedule, it says locker #92. I check the lockers in front of me. All I see is twenties. Great. I walk and walk until I finally reach my locker. I shove four of my binders into it and try to find my first class. First period I have Literature, room #380.

I find my class and quickly take a seat in the back.

"Hey, you new or something?" A blonde girl sits beside me and asks.

"Is it that obvious?" I laugh.

"Nah, not really. I've just never seen you before. What's your name?" She giggles.

"I'm Arielle. You?" I reply.

"Ooh, pretty. Can I call you Elle? Oh and I'm Layla."

"Sure." I say. She smiles and turns back to listen to the teacher. She took my schedule and said we have three classes together.

The rest of the day goes by fairly fast. Now, its fourth period. Layla and I have this class together and she told me I'm sitting with her and her friends at lunch.

"Hey guys! This is my new friend Elle. She's going to sit with us." Layla tells everyone when we get to the table. I see three boys and one other girl. Wow! All these guys look extremely hot.

"Ooh a new toy!" A cute brown haired boy yells.

"Shut up, Seth." The other girl laughs.

"That's Seth and Camryn." Layla informs me.

"Nice to meet you." I say, shyly.

"That's Caiden, Camryn's boyfriend, and that's Ryan." She says, while pointing to everyone.

"You're cute, darlin'. Come sit by me." Ryan grins widely at me. I laugh and sit next to him. Gah, he's hot! He has thick dark brown hair, brown eyes, and small stubble. Why in the world did these people let me sit with them?

"Where's Jace?" Layla asks the group.

"Probably making out with some whore." Camryn scoffs.

"Talking about me again?" Another gorgeous guy, I'm assuming is Jace, says walking up to the table.

"Get over yourself, dude. No one talks about you. They're too busy looking at my sexy face." Seth says, stroking his face. We all laugh, except for Jace.

"Whatever. Who the hell are you and why are you in my seat?" Jace asks me.

"I...I..." I stupidly stutter. Why the hell can I not just say a simple damn sentence?

"I what? Cat got your tongue?" He hisses.
Oh that's it!

"You know what? You're an ass! My name is Arielle for you information. Maybe if you'd take that stick out of your ass and stop being a jerk I could introduce myself properly. Also, this seat doesn't have Jackass written on it so, it's mine for the time being." I snap. Who the hell does this jerk think he is?

"Damn!" The group howls.

"What's wrong, Jace? Cat got your tongue?" Camryn laughs. We all laugh with her, while Jace gives her death glares.

Everyone calms down and starts having their own conversations. I like the group. Everyone seems nice, except Jace. Is he always such a jerk? I mean, he doesn't even know me. I don't even know him. I finish eating my salad and listen to everyone conversations.

The rest of my day goes by fast. I go home and relax a bit. All of my teachers are nice, except one, Mrs. Richardson. She's my Algebra teacher. She says that my grades suck. If I don't get them up I won't pass. No one understands what I've been through this past year. I can't tell them. I can't tell anyone. Not because it's illegal or anything, but because I'm scared of what they might think about me. I'm terrified that the dreams I still have will become reality again. I don't want everyone to think I'm a horrible person. I already blame myself. That's what my mom and the stupid therapist doesn't understand. I can't cope with my pain. How will telling someone how much I hate myself help?

I take a shower and try to clear my mind.
