We dropped Dillon off at his house first, followed by Melanie's next. We got home around 5:30, only being welcomed to a car in our driveway.
I heard my mom curse under her breath. After a few minutes, we figured out that we couldn't just live in our car, so we got out. We didn't plan anything out so we just walked in our house like everything was normal. Maybe if we did this, then we wouldn't seem scared out of our minds.
Thankfully it seemingly worked. When we walked in, my mom gave a small smile to my dad who was sitting in his usual chair watching tv. He barely acknowledged our presence, if at all. We all went upstairs and went to our own business and left him alone.
My dad eventually left a little after 6:30. Once I heard his car door shut, I went downstairs, followed by Stephen and my mom. We made sure he left, and then carried on with our night.
My mom ordered pizza for dinner and we had a fun night. I even got her to watch a Supernatural episode!
We went to bed late, not that it really mattered. We didn't get up until around 11 the next morning. I woke up peacefully which was rare, so I knew something was up.
I didn't think much of it so I carried on with my morning routine. I walked downstairs into the kitchen as I do every morning. I glanced around and spotted a paper. Oh nice, another ridiculous note. I picked it up and realized it was not just a note.
It was divorce papers.
