ashton finished telling his purposely bad and corny joke and the room erupted in pointless laughter, including a giggle he had never heard before and it was coming from right next to him and the room fell quiet and michael's cheeks turned pink and ashton grinned — michael was selectively mute and ashton had never heard his laugh, because michael chose to be mute six years ago and they've only been together for three, so this was fucking amazing 'baby?' and michael bit his lip, looking at ashton with innocent and somewhat nervous eyes 'was that a giggle michael clifford?' and before he could even nod he was attacked in a hug and kisses pressed all over his face and he giggled again and ashton gasped, the whole room in awe 'you did it again!!' and michael smiled 'think you might've broken him out of his shell a bit.' and ashton smiles at luke before he smirked 'i guess i'm telling my jokes more often then.' and the whole room groaned and once everyone leaves and the two are curled up in bed ashton whispers 'do you think you are ever gonna talk again?' and michael shrugged 'well i love your giggle, 's so cute.' and michael blushed, burying in his chest and ashton's question is answered slowly and surely.
