its julessss — i'm back bitchessss // this sucks tho

in the way calum saw it, there were six kinds of drunk:
the happy and giggly drunk
the sleepy drunk
the sad and emotional drunk
the crazy -going-to-regret-this-in-the-morning drunk
the one-who-ends-up-in-someone-else's-bed drunk
and the angry and violent drunk
that was all he had seen at least.
so when he had to go pick ashton up from the bar —  because he left in a huff during their fight hours ago — he didn't know what to expect, he could be all six.
so when he walks into the gay bar — that one really pissed calum off even more — and he sees ashton leaning on the bar giggling, he sighs
'ash.' he said with a sigh and the boy blinked up at him with bright yet clouded eyes and he grinned
'baby.' he pulled him on his lap and buried in his neck and calum smiled a little
'babe, c'mon, let's go home.' he kissed his hair and ashton giggled
'but i wanna cuddle — you're pretty.'
'we can cuddle at home.' he chuckled and ashton giggled and nodded.
then they stepped outside and calum muttered a fuck at the flashes — christ sake this was what the fight was about — how they'd been dating for more than a year but hadn't gone public because ashton was famous and calum wasn't
but the drunk boy just smiled at the paps and calum kept his head down
'ashton who's that?'
'ashton!'
'ashton over here!!'
'is it true--'
'ASHTON IRWIN--'
'hey irwin who's the dude?'
and calum was muttering prayers — don't say it don't say it don't say it don't say it--
'it's my boyfriend.' he giggled, hugging him tight and calum groaned — oh god, ashton didn't want to tell people — that was the fight.
'your boyfriend?'
'boyfriend?'
'hold on he doesn't like girls?!--'
'yeah! his name's calum..he's pretty too.' he slurred and calum muttered a curse
'what's his name?'
'coll-um?'
'is he just a one-night?'
'who is he?'
'hey!' ashton yelled and they quieted, then he erupted into giggles 'he's my boyfriend.' he hiccuped
'ashton let's just go home.'
'okay.' he mumbled, 'then we can cuddle?'
'yes, we can cuddle.'
so ashton hugged him and walked behind him, grinning and waving at the paps as they climbed into calum's car.

ashton walked down the stairs with a smirk and sighed at the view of calum reading on the couch
'hey angel.'
calum looked at him
'hey.' he smiled and sighed 'i have to tell you something..' he whispered
'yeah?' he plopped on the couch and pulled him in his lap, kissing his forehead
'you were drunk last night..'
'yeah..?'
'and we were leaving..'
'mhmmm..?'
'the paps swarmed us and um..
ashton raised an eyebrow
'you told everybody.'
ashton grinned 'good.'
calum frowned 'good? i-i thought you didn't want--'
ashton smiled 'i thought about it, and i love you, so why should it matter ya know?'
'b-but..'
'i was afraid that you'd get hate.' ashton sighed, playing with his fingers 'but then i thought that you're gonna have me to help you..a-and besides that, you wanted people to know because you didn't want to sneak around anymore.' he kissed his nose 'and i wanna give anything you want yeah?'
calum smiled and hugged him tight, burying in his neck
'and..then i got drunk.' he giggled and calum chuckled 'and i was gonna talk to you about it but then it just — spilt.'
calum nodded and smiled
'it's okay.'
'i love you baby.' he kissed his hair
'love you too ashy.'
ashton only smirked.

because apparently the drunk calum didn't know was not-at-all.
