^Dylan Lee as Garret

The night came just as Daniel and Garret did and I was hiding in Brett's bedroom flipping through the pages of my all-time favorite book, Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick! The intriguing story was that of one Nora Grey coming into contact with the mysterious and irresistible Patch Cipricano. The problem was that he had to sacrifice her for his freedom. Never had I seen such a beautifully put plot twist.

"No, wait!" I heard Garret screech alongside a shatter come from downstairs followed by laughter. Trying to put the sounds out of mind, I put a headphone into my ear and pressed play as I tried to listen to the Weeknds Beauty Behind the Madness album. Despite the volume on full blast, the constant crash and laughter downstairs seemed more interesting.

Oh, how I wish Patch were real.

Putting down the copy of Hush Hush, I hopped down the stairs.

Garret was the first one to spot me. He was almost as tall as Brett but it was mainly due to his hair which was long and today was flipped up toward the ceiling in a quiff. His hair was chestnut brown and he wore a smile across his face. He had dimples that caused me to return the smile. "Hey Garret."

Just then my attention was caught by the smashed plates on the floor.

"What the holy fudge nuggets is going on here?!" I surveyed as a cup balanced perfectly balanced on Brett's' head was quickly grabbed and hid behind his back with a foolish grin. Daniel followed suit and hid the plate behind his back. Did they really think I was that blind!

"Plate lives matter!" I proclaimed as I descended the stairs to get a better view of the mess of broken plates along the floor. "So, you not only smash things at 2 am but, also at 11 pm?" Crossing my arms, I met eyes with Brett and couldn't help but smile a bit.

"Why is it every time you smile, I get the notion you want to kill me?" Brett's smile back at made me break out in a smile showing my teeth and blinking my eyes in an, yes, I'm going to kill you!

"Smashing things at 2 am?" Garret said turning his gaze from Brett and I. Laughter formed between Daniel and Garret and I shot Daniel an accusing glance.

Totally should have seen that coming

"You know what I meant! " I whined as Brett couldn't help but smile. He was wearing a crimson red tank top and some grey sweats that went way past his feet. Brett seemed more relaxed than I had seen him in a while. "You seem to relaxed to be having Daniel throwing plates at you."

"We're just playing truth or dare." Brett answered. setting down the mug. "And besides, it isn't at me, it's at the mug... On top of my head." I rolled my eyes before walking past the mess and grabbing a water bottle out of the fridge and quench my thirst.

"Truth or dare?" I scoffed. "Childish."

"Reading the same book you've read 15 times, Childish." Brett taunted.

"At least I'm doing something proactive."

"Why don't you get proactive with us?" Brett wiggled his eyebrows amusingly. Chuckles followed his comment.

"Yeah, come on! Truth or Dare?" Daniel asked me.

"I'd rather pass." I began to head upstairs when Garret grabbed me from behind the waist dragging me away from the stairs. "Garret!" I squealed as he began to bring me into the living room. I watched as Brett just laughed for the longest while as I kicked. I would not play their sick game of Truth or Dare!

I was thrown onto the couch and before I knew it, imprisoned in Garret's quite toned arms. "Let me go." Besides all that, I was laughing. Garret and I met last year when Brett and I were at an amusement park riding the Texas Titan. I was in the first cart while Brett was in the last cart due to the fact their weren't any 2 seaters left. I was sitting next to Garret and at that first drop when he told me to put my hands up. I became chicken and as I put my hands down, he grabbed onto my hand an pulled it back up! Afterward became the birth of Garrets and I's friendship. Meaning, that I had a bit of a crush on Garret.
