Chapter 17:

Xavier's POV:

A week and half its been since I've talked or seen Amanda. I know I told her to take as much time as she needed but it still hurts. If it were to me, I would have her beside me twenty four seven, but she needs space and I will give her that.

A week earlier, Giovani had called me to ask if whatever Amanda had said was true.  I told him my side of the story and how at first I thought it was just obsession but I actually ended up falling in love with her.

Gio as always being the honest person he is told me to give her some space and that she'll eventually come around.

I agreed.

At the moment I'm at one of clubs handling some issues we've been having. Sometimes all I want to do is go into hibernation and not have to deal with anything, but as the saying goes "you don't always get what you want".

It seems that someone was illegally selling drugs in my club and it was effecting a lot of the customers, I don't how why it took my staff such a long time to figure this out. They should be alert every moment but no they fucking think it's s joke.

It turns out that my own cousin Rafeal is behind this. He is slowly trying to make my business suffer. I decide that this is the moment to retaliate.

Picking up my phone and dialling my right hand mans, Greydan, I told him to set up a meeting with all the members. It time to get back in action. Rafeal you're finally going to get what you deserve.

Amanda POV:

I sat at my office typing up the correspondence but back in my mind I could only think about Xavier. I know he told me to take as much time as I want, but I feel very guilty. Why you ask? Even I don't know.

One an half week of hell and torture, thinking about all the possibilities and the only conclusion I come to is accepting Xavier. Over this week and half, I have realized that I cannot imagine my life without Xavier. He has become a constant part of my life.

I got out of my thoughts after hearing my office door knocking.

"Come in" I said.

The door opened to reveal a short, young lady, black hair, beautiful brown eyes staring at me.

"Yes Jenna, how may I help you?"I asked Jenna the new assistant.  

"Ma'am, I just have a question. It has been bothering me and I finally had the courage to ask you." Says Jenna.

I nod at her to continue

"Ma'am it seems someone is trying to get into this building and specifically Boss office." She replies.

I become alert and quickly ask her about this.

"What do you mean by someone entering into the building." I ask her.

She looked at me nervous and but scared, I don't know why.

"There has been this man who everyday tries to get into the building some way or another, but the security always manages to get him before he can, and this other day, while I was going for my lunch, I overheard his conversation with someone about how the plan is set and that sooner or later he will get into Giovani office. I knew this was a matter that needs to be taken serious so I decided to come and tell you." Jenna says in fast breath.

I thank her and tell her to go back to work and pay attention to what happens and to notify me as soon as possible.

I hurriedly got up and walked fast towards Gio's office and opening the door without knocking and not expecting what I was seeing.

Xavier.

He sat there looking so manly and just downright amazing. I wanted to run over to him and confess that I want him and that nothing, not even him being Mafia boss will stop me. But before I could actually put my thoughts into action I heard someone coughing.

I looked around and found several other men dressed up in suits and all looking at me.

One question? How the fuck did so many men get in unnoticed by me. Maybe they came during lunch time.

I cleared my throat before speaking. "I'm sorry sir to disturb you, but it seems there is an urgent matter that I need to discuss with you." I said. I could see everyone in the room being suddenly very interested at what I was saying.

Xavier POV:

Beautiful

She looked downright right beautiful. Her hair in an updo, and wearing a simple work wear dress with those big reading glasses which makes me want to do many naughty things to her.

Before I could think further I heard her speak and quickly became alert. What is this urgent matter that she needs to discuss with Giovani.

I point at Giovani and nod at him to ask her what's happening.

"What is the matter Amanda that seems to worry you." Gio asked.

"Sir, it seems that some intruder has been trying to get into the building for some past days. Jenna the Assistant Secretary noticed this and had also notified the security. But she also overheard the man talking to someone and saying that he will soon get into your office. I think this man is a threat and should be dealt with." Amanda says.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. What the hell is going on, first the club and now the office. What is wrong with the security and why aren't they reporting it to us, I need to have a talk with them soon. How is it possible that someone tries to enter into the building and cause trouble and we don't even know about it, and we find out this through the junior assistant.

I could feel everyone tensing up and they should. I am done. If this is how Rafeal wants to play then let's do it. I'll play an ever dirtier game.

"Thank you Amanda" I said tensely and dismissed her.

I heard the door close and looked at Gio.

"How is it fucking possible for someone to get into our building and not one of us being notified for it. What the heck is going on Gio? Where is the bloody security? ANSWER MEE!!!" I shouted banging my hand on table.

I saw everyone slightly flinch but controlled themselves.

" I want to know who the fuck is trying to get into the building and what that assholes motive is. I want all the information within an hour and that man caught. I am done with all of you fuckers slacking off." I shouted at everyone one.

"NOW GET THE FUCK UP AND GET THE INFORMATION." I yelled.

Everyone quickly scrambled out of the room except for Gio.

I looked straight at his eyes giving him a deadly stare.

"If whoever I think is behind this, then I'm going to unleash. At first I was being easy thinking he is family but he has crossed limits. First selling drugs in my clubs and now this. I'm pretty sure he even did something with the guards" I tell him.

"And I'm only going to ask you once. Are you in this or not?" I ask him.

He looked at me a bit sad but determined.

"I'm in" Gio whispers.

I know, I know. It has been ages since I updated and for that I would like to apologize. I meant to continue but as time went by, I just got lazy and had no idea what to do next. It took a lot of coaxing from my younger brother for me to continue and I finally decided that I must continue this not for me but for my readers who have eagerly been waiting for the next chapter.
