"Emily what's wrong " Elizabeth said rubbing my back.

"Nothing I wanna go home. " I said as I looked up at her.

"Ok"

We went to the check out and checked out the stuff and went back into the car.

I sat I my spot looking out the window. Crying quietly. Faintly.

I could feel Hayes eyes burning into my soul. I looked at him and he had a I'm sorry look on his face.

But it's too late to say sorry.

I hate this stupid road trip. I wanna go back to Hawaii. Can't stand it here.

We got home and I went straight upstairs. And laid in bed. Think about life.

"Emily Hayes do the dishes!" My mom yelled.

I pouted and yelled. Then made my way down stairs.

"I'm washing" I said starting no the dishes.

"Ok but can we talk after"

"I don't know can we. "

"Don't be slick I just asked a question. "

"Fine Hayes if it will make you happy. "

We finished and went to his room. He was already there.

"What do you want to talk about. "

"Look I'm really really sorry."

"It's too late to say sorry. "

"Come on Em ."

"How many times did you say sorry now. Oh o" I rolled my eyes and walked away.

Today is Hayes birthday and I still haven't talked to him that night. But ever since that night I keep getting flashbacks and dreams about that day.

FlashBack

The bell rings and I see that almost all the notes are cleared out. So I finish I don't care if I'm late.

I see Hayes in the hallway and he pushes me down.

"I Thought you promised. " I yell.

"Some promises aren't meant to be kept. " he yells back.

Then I just slide down my locker.

I hate that day ever since that happened.

"Emily come on we're are giving Hayes his presents. " Nash said.

I grabbed what I got for him and put it in the pile of presents.

When he got to mine he opened t and it was the watch.

"Thanks " he said whit the biggest smile on his face and he hugged me.

I hugged back cause who know when next time I will get one of those bear hugs.

After that we went out to get Hayes a new board and stuff like that.

Our parents dropped me Hayes and Nash at the mall so we walked around.

"Can we go to Aeropostale. " I asked.

They nodded. We went into the store and 4 jackets.

then we went to the Apple Store and got  this for my Mac.

After that we went to the food court and got Popeyes.  I knew Hayes was staring at me.

"Yes" I said.

"What " Nash asked confused.

"Not you ,Hayes. " I said my head was still down. 

"Nothing I was just staring at something beautiful. "

I turn around. Then realizing he was talking about me. I face palmed myself.

I blushed and kept my head down. 

"Oh um thanks. "

"No need. " he smiles

"Well I'm confused I will leave you two at it I'm leaving bye. " Nash says getting up to go to his group of friends.

I sigh  and poke at my food.

"What. "

"Nothing just bored "I replied.

"Well what do you want to do " he asked.

"I don't know it's your birthday. " I replied.

"How about we spend time together alone. " she smirks.

"Really. "

"Mmmmhmmmm" he hums.

"Fine but no funny business. "
