2.3 Evacuation

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Luke was sitting up in a recovery bed, weak but smiling. His face showed terrible wounds from the Wampa attack but was fixed up thanks to the medic team. Leia and Ellia sat around him, worried about him.

Ellia told him how Han and herself saved him from the bitter coldness but mentioned nothing about Yoda or the Dagobah system.

3PO and R2 entered the room, both droids relieved to see Luke alright.

"Master Luke, sir, it's so good to see you fully functional again," 3PO said.

R2 beeped good wishes to Luke which 3PO translated, "R2 expresses his relief also."

Han and Chewie entered the room, Chewbacca greeting Luke with a growl.

"How are you feeling kid?" Han asked Luke, "You don't look so bad to me. In fact, you look strong enough to pull the ears off a Gundark."

Luke smiled, "Thanks to you and Ellia."

"That's two you owe me junior," Han told Luke.

Han then turned to Ellia and smirked, "Well Sunshine, looks like you managed to keep me around for a little while longer."

Leia rolled her eyes, "She had nothing to do with it. General Rieekan thinks it's dangerous for any ships to leave the system until we've activated the energy shield."

Han smiled at Leia, "That's a good story. I think she just can't bear to let a gorgeous guy like me out of her sight."

Ellia scoffed and shook her head, "I don't know where you get your delusions, laser brain."

Leia and Chewbacca amused began to laugh. Han turned to Chewbacca, "Laugh it up fuzzball. But you didn't see us alone last night."

Luke raised his head, looking between Leia, Han, and Ellia. "She expressed her true feeling for me."

Ellia said nothing but rolled her eyes, "You stuck up, half-witted, scruffy looking, nerf herder."

Han raised his eyebrows, "Who's scruffy looking?" He then turned to Luke, "I must have hit pretty close to the mark to get her all riled up like that, huh, kid?"

Ellia stood up, "Why I guess you don't know everything about women yet?"

Han sent her a wink causing Ellia to roll her eyes, "I need to talk to Luke in private."

There was a moment of silence before Leia spoke up, "Like alone?"

Ellia nodded, "Like just Luke and I."

Han sighed before standing up and walking out, everyone else following his lead.

Once alone, Ellia took a seat next to Luke's bed. "What do you know about the Dagobah System?"

"Dagobah?" Luke asked, surprise in his voice, "How do you know?"

"Han heard you mumble away about it last night," Ellia told him, "And Ben came to me in a dream."

"He came to me too," Luke said, "What did he tell you?"

"You have to go, Luke," Ellia said.
