Things have finally returned to how everything used to be. Well, scratch that. Everything has been ten times better that what was there before. I knew it was completely stupid to give a man another chance after knowing that he has been cheating on you, but everything has gotten back into place and I didn't regret my decision in any way.

These few months of being with Allen has been the best, I say to myself.

I giggled to myself at the thought. "What are you thinking about?" I turned to face Allen who was looking at me like I had finally gone insane.

"Nothing," I replied with a smile.

He shook his head as I caught a small hint of amusement present in his eyes. He stayed focused on the road in front of him as I sat beside him in the passenger's seat.

"Where are we going?" I asked him for another time.

"It's a surprise," he simply replied, eyes still on the road.

Which part of surprise don't you get, stupid. My inner-me told me. I swear I could imagine myself shaking my head at myself. If that even makes sense.

Shush.

Allen suddenly appeared in my apartment early in the morning, announcing that we are going somewhere. I didn't really have anything to do for the day, so why not go with him, I thought. He won't bring me to somewhere dangerous, would he?

You just had second thoughts didn't you? My inner voice snickered at me. I scoffed the voice away and gathered positive thoughts in my head. The longer we stayed on the road, the more I started getting nervous. "Allen," I started. He raised his brow at me but still continued to drive. "Where exactly are we going?" I asked nervously.

He must have noticed my nervousness when a smirk started playing on his lips. "Don't worry," he said. "I promise that I will not butcher you in the middle of nowhere,"

"Uh, yeah sure," I muttered, still unsure. What if this man right here with me is some doppelganger or something, who is ready to kill me right in the middle of nowhere.

"Can't you just trust your boyfriend for once?" he chuckled, looking at me from the corner of his eyes.

Yeah, trust your boyfriend. My voice echoed in my head. I shut her out and sighed, nodding as he chuckled once more at me. "We are almost near," Allen announced out loud. I took a glance out the window and noticed that we are almost at the end of the road. Instead of the usual buildings surrounding the roads, it was only full of trees. When did we even drive out of the main road?

I mentally slapped myself when images from the horror movies I watched started replaying in my head. I closed my eyes shut and started shaking my head.

The car stopped in a halt and I swear if I didn't put on the seat belt before he started driving I would've flew out the window. My eyes popped open that moment. I immediately turned to Allen in panic, and he just sent me an innocent smile. "Sorry, I missed the turn," he confessed, before reversing the car a few trees back and turned the wheel.

I gasped when I noticed where we were right now. I took in the scenery in front of us. I heard Allen's door slam shut as I continued gawking at what was in front of me. I should probably thank God for creating something as beautiful as this. The sea was purely turquoise. There were candles trailing on the sand and I could see some rose petals at the end of the trail. I could feel tears swelling on my eyes because of the happiness.
