The glass shattered on the floor, like the pieces of my heart.
It took soo long to mend the pieces, and make my heart whole again.
Then he comes in so casually, amd destroys it all.
It's just not fair.
'Four' stares at me confused.
"Are you okay"
What do you mean am I okay?
"Excuse me?!" I answer Loud and sharply, startling everyone.
He takes a step back, looking a little nervous.
Ha, busted.
"Do I even know you?" He asks,
Maybe not...
"Think back, two years ago, the woods." I emphasize every word.
He shakes his head,
"I'm sorry, I don't know you okay?"
Tears swell up in my eyes and I struggle to speak.
The son of a bitch doesn't remember.
Christina looks at me and puts her hand on my shoulder.
"You okay?"
I shake my head.
I just made a complete fool of myself, just when I was about to make new friends.
He always ruins it.
Always.
I get up, muttering an 'excuse me' and leaving with Emily.
Everyone stares as I leave, some give me weird looks, others proceed with what they were doing before.
My friends, or used to be friends, stare at me confused.
They probably think I'm a maniac.
He has them all fooled, wearing the mask of a hero to hide the demon inside.
He is a coward.
A forgetful, selfish coward.
One I will never forget, glued to my mind, and forever permanently stained, on the face on my daughter.
And through her deep, blue eyes,
I see his face, staring right back at me,
and through her smile,
I see him smirking directly at me,
Waiting to make his next move.
And through the tears in her eyes,
I see myself,
Terrified,
Afraid,
Alone....
