"Kyle," I say for the third time. Louder than the other two times.

"Oh. Kristen. I zoned out."

"Never mind. I just wanted to tell you that Randy invited us over to his house for dinner."

"What?"

"You know. Like the meal after lunch. At night time, around 6:30-"

"I know, I know. But did I hear correctly? Randy invited us to his home," he asks dubiously.

"Yep."

"With his family."

"Yep."

"With his mother."

"Yes! Kyle, isn't this what you wanted?"

"I don't know..."

"Please."

"Last time, his mum pretty much told me that if I even spoke to Randy again she would call the police and get a restraining order," he says rid of sarcasm.

"But you still talk to Randy."

"On the phone sometimes."

"Well then what are you waiting for? Let's go."

Kyle and I pick up our bags and Josh drops us off at Randy's house. It resembles Harmony's house. Grey walls, navy roof, one story.

Randy opens the door for us. "Glad you could make it," he says as a small smile spreads across his face.

I think he must feel guilty. I'm guessing Kyle knows it too. The look they give each other shows that they've been friends for years.

"Me too," Kyle shakes Randy's hand.

He invites us in and gives us a quick tour of the house. Consisting of the bathroom and the kitchen. A woman in her late forties gives us a warm smile. She has the whole pregnant-glowing thing going on. Her hair is duller than Randy's but still an unmistakable red.

"Hello Kyle," she says with a low-ish voice.

"Hey," Kyle answers with a shy grin. She opens up her arms and gestures for him to come over. He hugs her and then they both laugh.

"It's been a while."

"More or less."

"What have you been up to?"

"Nothing much."

"Didn't I tell you to get a haircut?" They both laugh. "And who's this?"

"This is Kristen," he gestures to me and I step forward to shake her hand.

"I'm Sonya."

"Pleasure to meet you," I smile.

A black and white cat paces over to me, sniffs my jeans and then rubs it's body against me. Adorable.

"That's Whiskers. Don't mind him," Sonya says lightly.

It started raining shortly after that. The rest of the evening, Sonya chats with us. The baby is due in three weeks. Amazing huh? I can't wait till I can start my own family. I don't know how many more me's I can handle though. Belinda came for dessert. She hasn't been that bad so far.

About half-way through the night, just as the storm was at its peak and we were just finishing up dessert, the front door swings open. We can see it from the couches we're sitting on. A tall and gorgeous red head, no doubt part of the family, sashays into the room. Her hair is dripping wet and her clothes are almost see-through and are clinging to her. "Emma!" Sonya calls out to her. "Excuse me." She says to us and then follows 'Emma' into the rooms across the hall.
