"Love me, if that's what you wanna do."
~The 1975Chapter Twenty Nine
I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and well rested. Since we were at a hotel, there was nothing to interrupt my sleep.
I looked around the room expecting to see Lauren passed out on the bed next to me and Lola sleeping soundly but was met with silence and empty spaces where they should've been. Confused, I changed out of my pyjamas to something a little more appropriate and went over to the boys' room. Just as I expected, they were all there. They all stopped talking to greet me.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked Lauren and Lola as I sat down on one of the swivel chairs.
Lola laughed, "Because you were passed out on the bed and looked like you needed a little extra sleep." She told me.
I bit my lip, "Was I that bad?"
Lauren started making snoring sounds as she sprawled out onto the bed. Everyone started to laugh and I couldn't help but join in.
"Okay, so I was that bad." I said. "Anyway, what have you guys been gossiping about?" I teased.
That was when they all went silent and avoided eye contact with me except Hunter who was looking right at me and seemed as if he was searching for something.
"How are you feeling?" He asked, breaking the tense silence.
I cocked my head to the side, confused. "Yeah, I'm fine. Why?" I questioned. But then it hit me. Last night's events came rushing back so fast that I had to draw in a breath. "Oh... Right."
Lauren threw her arms around me crushing me in one of her hugs, "I'm so sorry I wasn't there with you. I swear if I ever see that asshole again I will end him."
"Hunter did a pretty good job of that yesterday." Tom stated.
Lauren laughs, "True." She slapped Hunter on the back. "Good on you saving the love of y-"
I cut her off but shouting at the top of my lungs and jumping on top of her, knocking her down onto the bed.
"Katie get the hell off of me!" She exclaimed.
"I won't until you promise you won't do anything like that again!" I exclaimed back at her.
"He's going to find out one d-"
"LA LA LA LA LA LA." I shouted.
Tom eventually had to get me off her and made her promise not to set me off again.
After we were all settled down, we ordered room service for breakfast. We decided to all get pancakes and, holy hell, it was good. They were stacked higher than my grades will ever be.
Lola shoved a huge forkful into her mouth, "This is amazing!"
"Yeah but I don't think I can eat anything else for the rest of the day." Hunter said. "There's like 50 pancakes here for gods sake."
I smiled as I stared at him not fully realising how long I was staring at him for (a/n: #me). Lauren coughed loudly and elbowed me. I yelped in pain.
