13. Homework Help

"Damn it!" , Kristen slammed her fist on the wooden table in her trailer. She was desperately trying to finish off her homework. It was due the next day, but because of work, she hadn't had enough time to work on it. If she didn't finish it, she would get a bad mark.

The actress rest her head on the table, feeling upset with herself. She had always hated maths. She never understood anything. If only anyone could offer his help. Just anyone. But who would want to be her knight in shining armor in that situation?

Robert burst into her trailer, without even knocking, like he had just read her thoughts. Was he even good at maths? She was about to ask him, when he announced they had to go immediately to get their make up done.

"Well," she snapped, raising her head . "I'm busy now."

His face fell. What was wrong with her? She never snapped. Teenage problems? Not really. She was already an adult, according to the law. He didn't like it when she wasn't feeling in condition. When she was sad, he was sad as well.

He approached her and stroked her hair. "Kristen, tell me what's wrong."

She sighed, sadly, feeling his eyes burn a hole in her shirt. "I hate homework!" And she explained to him about her problems with mathematics, while he just stood close to her, stroking up and down her back, knowing it would soothe her.

"Kiki," began he. She looked at him, surprised. Why was he using her childhood nickname? "We need to go now. But later, after we finish work, I promise I'll help you as much as I can, okay?" He was smiling softly at her. She smiled back, ensure of the fact that he would keep his promise.

That night, they sat down in Robert's trailer, where he helped her with her homework, just as he had promised. With his help, the maths problems became easier to comprehend. She was able to turn in her homework on time and get an excellent mark. All because of him. Her knight in shining armor. He definitely deserved a big hug. And maybe a little kiss too.
