Tommy's  P.O.V:

Today was the day. The ol' county fair. Now, in my memories from the summer of '76 we weren't very smart on that day. It all simply began with jawbreakers and some ice cream. Which soon turned into throw up. But I'm getting to ahead of myself am I?

We met up with everyone at the sandlot. Valerie and Timber going hand and hand as usual. Everything about them seemed absolutely perfect. They were young and imperfect but yet the found a way to be perfect. I begun to miss my girl. Trudy. I was such a jerk to her before I got here. If I ever got out of here, or just end up growing up all over again- I was going to treat her like a queen. Stop being a greedy baseball player that was never loyal to his team. I'd promise myself a lot of things....let's see if I can keep them.

We finally arrived to the fair. The familiar smell of funnel cake and donuts filled the summer air. "Foooooood" Two Ton groaned lazily walking toward the concessions stand. "Wow there big guy, might want to do that after the rides" Q suggested. "Oh yeah? and what's it to you?" Two Ton snapped. "Well, if we are going on a ride it will descend and you'll-"

"If you don't shut it I ought descend my fist onto your head!"

"Whoa whoa, fellas lets just enjoy the fair ok?" I said parting the fight. Seriously, were we always this obnoxious? "Well I'm staying here. Come and get me when you want to have some real fun" two ton said taking off for the concessions. As for the rest of the team? Well we all practically had the time of our lives.

I saw Valerie and Timber go into a photo booth, crazy kids. As for me, I road the Daredevil and some other roller coasters with the rest of the team. Keeping my promise to leave them alone. After about an our we all went on a spinning ride. I couldn't help but feel warm inside when I heard Valerie giggling and laughing as her spinning teacup relentlessly spun. Her brown curly hair flying as the night sky became just a shade darker. I had to admit, I loved the fair at night. The bright lights the almost endless rides. All of it was just....awesome.

"Come on Two Ton! You've been sitting here the whole time!" Wok begged. "I told you-" Two Ton began with a rhetorical lecture. "Yeah, yeah something fun" Valerie scoffed. Then Timber whispered something into her ear. Which was soon followed by a giggle and a nod. "Hey, Tom we're heading to the Ferris wheel" she said politely. I nodded her off.

"Fine if you want something fun to do I think I got an idea" Wings spoke up. "Oh yeah, and what's that?" Two Ton retorted. "Let's see how many donuts you can eat before Valerie and Timber get back. I dare you" Wings said with a challenging tone in his voice. And this ladies and gentlemen is where everything that was about to go wrong began.

"Pfft I can do that in my sleep" Two Ton said with an over egotistical tone. Although that was kind of my thing. "Ok. If you you're so sure then do it" Wings said earning 'ooooes' from the team. "Fine, you're on!" Two Ton shouted. And before we could even blink he'd already started. One donut......two.......three......four......five......six?!

By now he was at 10 donuts. Frosting covered his face and tiny sprinkles that went un-eaten covered his cheeks. "Hey guys?" Valerie said approaching with Timber. "Done!" Two Ton shouted using his arm to wipe off the frosting. "Should I ask?" Valerie questioned.

"Nope"

"No way"

"Most likely not"

"So which ride are we going on last?" Valerie asked rocking back and forth on her feet. "The swings look fun!" Wok added. "Sure thing!" D.P chimed. "Ok-but Two Ton are you sure-"

"Heck yeah! They don't call me two ton for nothing" he said confidently. "Alright swings it is!" Timber grinned. I smiled back mouthing a 'thank you'. 'No problem' he added back. Taking my sisters hand he led the way to the swings. Once we boarded the ride I couldn't help but feel young again. It wasn't like I hadn't before this but I felt different this time. It was my youth coming back and soaring over me.....literally.

In front of me was Valerie and Timber

In front of me was Valerie and Timber. Their hands out, whooping at the top of their lungs. They were honestly timeless. The night sky zoomed by like a painting. The bright lights of the fair illuminating our young hearts. But yet I still felt on edge. Still having a memory that I most likely didn't wish to remember at this point in time.

"Guys, I'm not feeling so go-" Two Ton shouted but before he could finish his sentence....his upset stomach did it for him. "Eww!" Shouted Wok. Everyone covered their faces as the vomit airborne in the summer air. I gagged at the disgusting smell. The ride came to a stop and everyone sprinted out. I was relieved to see that nor I my sister or timber and even the rest of the team didn't get hit. But still, some unlucky riders did.

As for us, we'll we decided to head home. I'd enjoyed a nice vomit filled fair day. But at least Timber and Valerie got to spend time together that's all that counts. But I couldn't get distracted. I needed to take precautions. I needed to be ready for my second chance. To save my little sister. To be ready if I'll ever leave. To be ready to keep my promises, and never let go. Never let go of my sister ever again. I promised.
