Planet Draco year 1131 (post landings)
The imperial mines in the new world continue to yield their treasure. Laborers to work the mine are few and far between. To solve the shortage the Emperor has instituted a program of involuntary workers. Every able male must spend two years working the mines. To this end he has appointed press gangs that roam the country side every spring and are paid a bounty on those workers they bring in. Almost every man complies.
A few men however yearn to be free. For them the lure of the Republic just beyond the mountain is a beacon of light and hope. They are willing to risk everything for a chance of freedom.
