Ethan invited you to go watch "The Gallows" but you thought both the twins were going. Instead when you arrived to the theaters it was only him. You didn't have a problem with just being you and Ethan but it was usually the three of you guys.
Now every time Ethan invited you to go somewhere it was just you two. You didn't really know why but you shook it off.
"Hey (Y/n)" he smiled and waved
"Hey Ethan, Grayson couldn't come?" You asked that on purpose
"Oh... Um... Yeah" he scratched his head "he went to hang with Cameron instead" another excuse why Grayson wasn't here
"Oh ok, let's go watch the movie already" You said excitedly
"Yeah!" He agreed
(2 hours later)
It was night time and movie was over. You guys walked out of the theaters.
"Ethan you're such a scary cat, it wasn't even that scary" you said
"Look who's talking! The one that kept screaming with the other scared girls when things popped out of nowhere"
"That not true!" You said offended
"Did too!"
You both laughed as you guys went on mocking each other and remembering what happened in the movie.
"Yo, Ethan, there's an ice cream shop over there. Can we buy some ice cream please?!" You asked like if you were a five year old
"Okay but I pay"
"But Ethan you already payed for the movies and food and-" he cut me off
"I don't care. I pay or no ice cream" he crossed his arms
You didn't want to fight him so you went along with it "Hmm, fine. But I'm going to repay you. If you like it or not"
"Deal"
You both got your ice creams and then sat down on a bench near a fountain. You guys kept going on about the movie and just talking about random things. It's until you had to ask Ethan about something that did make you question a lot.
"Ethan why is it always just us now? Not trying to like be mean or ruin the moment or saying I don't enjoy just hanging out with you but it used to be the three of us"
His smile went away and he faced forward looking towards the distances. It was quiet for a minute or two.
You were about to say something but Ethan broke the silence "I been lying to you about Grayson..." His head dropped and you were just confused
"What do you mean Ethan?" You began to worry
"Grayson isn't with Cameron or isn't doing anything when I invite you to places... I've been lying about that for awhile now but I have a reason."
You started to get scared "Ethan I don't understand"
"I don't want to ruin our friendship, but sooner or later this day would come" he faced you again and scared into your eyes "(Y/N) would you want to be my girlfriend....."
