-Dream-

(Zero's pov)

Terrible, aching pain rippled through my entire body. Icy winds swept my hair into the air with raging tears of the sky drenching me as I struggled to walk forward. I hugged myself tightly trying to keep warm.

I passed by other homeless people who tucked themselves away in the seemingly endless alleyway. My legs trembled underneath my weight and blood was seeping slightly pass my arms.

Minutes before, I was sitting in a small corner munching on bread when I was overpowered by a group of men who had left me for dead. I squirmed on the floor, crawled o hall fours, and finally i began to trudge, trying to find some kind of help.

I took one shaky step when suddenly my knees buckled and I went spiraling towards the floor. My head hit the chipped and potholed concrete harshly causing me to wince.

My hazy eyes stared off into the distance, watching every drop slowly fall into slow motion, like crystals being hung up by puppet strings. 'Help me......' I tried calling out but my throat was too hoarse, I was too weak.

Poke. Poke.

"Zero?"

Poke. poke.

"Zeeerrrooo~"

I slowly drew away from my nightmare and opened one eye. In front of me was the stupid smiling face of the white haired boy. "What..." I growled angrily. "Isoroku!" He chirped happily. I furrowed my eyebrows in total confusion.

Seeing my lost look he elaborated further on what he had just said. "It's my name! I remember! You said if I remembered my name then I can ask you anything I want! I'm Isoroku!"

I stared at the idiot with crazed eyes, my right eye was actually twitching. "You woke me up just for that?" I growled out through gritted teeth. Before he could process my anger, I slammed my fist against the top of his cranium.

"GAH!" He fell to the floor in pain while holding the top of his head. "What was that for?" He cried, tears glistening at the edges of his eyes.
