Chapter 4: Meeting The Boss's Daughter..

I exited the precinct and headed towards my car. I hadn't gotten far when I heard someone calling me over. I glanced to my left and caught sight of a fellow Officer beckoning me over to his squad car my first instinct was to ignore him and continue my path to my vehicle 

"Hey Rookie i'm talking to you!" he shouted from across the parking lot. I nodded my head and walked over to him slowly

"Yes?" I answered. 

"So, You're the Rookie who got assigned to watch the Chief's daughter huh?"  He asked staring me down in a perverted way

"yes, I am what business is it of yours"  I replied calmly as I discreetly tucked the keys and address inside of my back pocket

"I just wanted you to know what your getting into, The bitch is fucking loony the last officer that got assigned to watch over her was fo-" 

"Officer Holloway! what the hell are you doing conversing with Officer___  get your ass on Patrol like I ordered you to do 20 minutes ago! before I find a replacement!" The chief cut his speech short. I stared at the officer as I furrowed my brow in confusion to his words . I turned and noticed the Chief walking over to the Lieutenant who he had a meeting with earlier they both stood watching us

"watch your back kid and good luck" Officer Holloway whispered to me as he got into his Squad car and squealed off. I stood in confusion as I tried to make sense of his words. I glanced down at my watch (10:56 am) it read. OFFICER _____ DON'T YOU HAVE SOMEWHERE TO BE" I jumped to the sound of his voice

"y-yes Chief I'm sorry" I replied from across the parking lot

"Don't be sorry just get to where you need to be ASAP! he barked 

"yes sir, I said under my breath. As I turned to walk back to my car, I felt a strong hand grab my arm and I spun around.

"What were you and Officer Halloway talking about?"  he asked glaring at me

"N-Nothing sir he was just congratulating me on joining the force and wished me good luck on my assignment"  I said staring blankly into his eyes trying not to show the fear that he gave off. The Chief kept his glare on me as if he was trying to decide if I was lying or not My heart began to pound 

"May I go now sir? " I asked as I gently removed my arm from his strong grip.

"Yes, yes you may My daughter is not home at the moment but let yourself in I want you to be there when she arrives" he said as he walked away. I unlocked my car and got inside I pulled the paper out of my back pocket and read the address,  I started the car and headed back to my place to pack a quick bag. I arrived at my Apartment around 11:45 am due to the horrible traffic conditions I didn't  have time to lock the doors so I ran inside to quickly gather my things making sure that I was not forgetting anything. I had been recently studying for an entry exam to become an investigator and even though I was a rookie cop and it would take me a while to become investigator, I decided to grab my books and notes anyway so that I could have time to study. I exited the house and armed the alarm. I hoped into my car and headed to the Chief's house. The drive took me about 35 minutes and when I pulled up to the house I noticed that there was an enormous Iron gate blocking my entry the path beyond the gate was surrounded by beautifully manicured bushes and trees multicolored flowers lined the path leading up to the driveway and eventually the front door. I glanced at the paper and scanned it for a gate code "Gate Code: 2205" it read. I rolled my window down and carefully punched in the code  after about 30 seconds I heard a loud beep followed by the Iron gates slowly parting in front of me. I slowly drove up to the driveway and rounded the corer to the circular driveway that boasted a beautiful fountain I exited my car, grabbed my bag from the back seat and walked to the front entrance. As I neared the front doors I noticed a keypad with letters and numbers "Please enter security code" I watched the screen as the words scrolled repetitively I glanced at the piece of paper and couldn't find a security code but had remembered the gate code and decided to enter the numbers again "2205" Just then , the front doors clicked open "System unarmed" a computerized voice sounded. I entered the house and was immediately taken aback by the immaculate decorations, The house was completely spotless and dawned beautiful paintings and sculptures, expensive looking tables ,chairs ,and are rugs there were a few fake flowers but the overall decoration took my breath away. I made my way through the house checking out every room as I walked up the stairs and down the hallway, I came to a room which caught my attention. The door was a bit ajar and I gently pushed it open
