Alibi

"Okay so was Lauren ever Brought in for questioning?" I asked curiously

"Yeah unfortunately she was however she had an airtight alibi she was never charged with his disappearance" Lucy added

"Well what was her alibi then?" I asked

"Well, she says that after she took Daniel home, she went over to some friends house and they drank she got drunk and passed out in their living room the police questioned everyone who was at the house that night and they all confirmed that she was there but the odd thing is a few days later a witness surfaced (I raised my eyebrows in this response) there was a homeless man who came into the police station after hearing about the disappearance and said that he was collecting cans in the canal that say and saw two men and what looked like a female walking along the canal they were too far ahead so he couldn't really make out their faces nor what they were wearing he claims that he thought of it as nothing because kids always sneak in the canal and do drugs, drink , and have parties however he also states that he noticed that only the one guy and a girl get back into a black SUV and drive off pretty fast"

I sat quietly for a minute before speaking "So, Lauren and this mystery guy... did they murder-"

"That's the thing Fallon no one has come forward with any more evidence since then so they had no one to charge.. Lauren claimed her alibi was solid which it was or at least it seemed that way so, they couldn't charge anyone due to lack of the witness being able to properly identify the two people leaving the canal and the SUV." Lucy Explained (A/N I used to watch a lot of Law & Order SVU and shit like that that's how I was able to come up with this lingo lol)

I sat quietly thinking to myself what if I could connect Lauren to this kids murder... What of I could place Lauren and the guy that she was with the kid. In L.A to the unidentified male and female seen leaving the scene what if...

"Lucy I appreciate you looking out for me thank you for giving me this information but I really don't want you getting involved in this Lauren is very dangerous more than even I know let me take care of her I can't allow myself to bring you into this " I said in a serious tone

"Too late Fallon I'm already in it" she replied before walking away leaving me without words.

(Time Forward)

"Okay Ma'am I've got all the cameras set up at every angle and trust me no one will be able to sneak past this place without the sensors going off" The security guy stated as he pulled a clipboard out

"Are you sure you're okay with this?" I asked Camila in a concerned tone I was leaving for my House for a few days to do some investigation on this Daniel Parker case since it was a cold case and after consulting with Camila about the case she decided that I should go and look into it though I hated the thought of leaving her alone Lauren could show up at any time though I hadn't seen her in over a month I didn't know where she was or even if she was still in Miami for that matter

I headed home quickly to have a quick shower and relax for a while Camila was literally in the safest place that she could be right now and I figured since Lauren wanted me away from her that she wouldn't be so stupid as to come searching for her especially if she knew that I was home and so the trap was set..

I gathered my clothes and headed for the shower the warm water hit my skin and sent shocks throughout my entire body I realized now how extremely tired I was after showering I exited the bathroom drying my hair with a towel when suddenly the lights went out

"Fuck" I mumbled to myself the wind was blowing pretty hard outside and there was fair warning of possible power outages in the area however I hadn't thought anything of it until now I managed to reach my supply closet and search blindly for a few emergency candles I lit two and placed them in their holders on top of my dresser before realizing that I had left my towel down the hall I quickly grabbed it and headed back to my dimly lit room as I adjusted my eyes to the dimness I noticed someone standing just feet from me...it was Lauren I looked on in horror as her face twisted into a sinister smile

" miss me?"
